Chapter 15 ~ Preparation

Cole's POV:

Tomorrow is the day. 

Tomorrow we will end this. whatever it takes.....

We were finishing up all the repairs that have gone smoothly for the past week. The only nuisance was skylor. Ugh! I don't remember her being this annoying! She tried getting kai's attention most of the time, which annoyed me as fuck! I growl to myself as I fix up. I feel a hug from behind. "you're working too hard cole. Take a break" it was kai. I blushed at his consern. He lightly pecked my cheek which made me blush even more. "t-thanks. I'm almost done. Maybe after this we could uh...grab a snack?" I suggested. Kai chuckled, "sure thing.....bolder brain" "hey!" Both of us break into laughter. 

Time skip!

Gaming room;

I grabbed some chips and sodas and sat on the couch next to kai who was picking out a video game to play. "this one?" "yeah, sure" kai put the cartage in the console and handed me a controller. "ready to lose?" I smirked at him. "yeah right. Not even in your dreams" kai nudged me playfully. We started up the game and played for awhile.

Time skip

"hello you two" Jay leaned from the door with a grin on his face. I raised an eyebrow. "n-nothing!" Kai jumped up. Jay giggled. "what's wrong?" I also got up, confused. "never mind, enjoy, you two" Jay smirked and I sweated I heard him say, "lovebirds" on his way out. " well, Jay's in a better mood. What'd you tell him?" "promise me that....you won't get mad" I nod. "I kind of told Jay about....us.-" my eyes widen. I was not mad. Just....just startled. Kai hesitated, "I'm not mad kai, go on," I took his hand comfortingly. "in the tunnels, I said that we had a connection interference-" "and?" "I lied. I told Jay and to be honest, it was jay who gave me confidence to actually kiss you" i blushed. "I....i-I'm glad. I'm glad that we don't have anymore secrets between us" Kai's lips tugged into a smile. I gave a little kiss on the cheek and kai pulled me into a hug. 

Lloyd's POV:

"we have to get out" muttered nya as she phased back and forth. I didn't say anything and just bite my lip. "come on lloyd! You're the green ninja" nya goarned. I looked away in frustration. "we're never getting out of here" I mutter. "excuse me?" "i said, THAT WE'RE NEVER GONNA STAND A CHANCE!!" I yell at nya. She looked Hurt and close to tears. "i-I'm sorry....i shouldn't have lashed out like that" I get up and hold my arm. "i-it's fine. I know what you've been through. I'm glad that I didn't have to be trapped here alone" she wiped a few tears but managed to smile. 

Nya holds my hand, "I give you my strength lloyd, escape" he squeezes my hand comfortingly. "what!! No way I'm doing that! It could completely drain you!" I gasp in horro. "I don't care. I just want to see Jay's face again." Nya looks away. I hesitate but I make up my mind, "I'll try"

Nya nods and code her eyes, her hair floats and I could feel power coming from her and going through me. I will succeed. For Nya's sake. I consentrate and grab the cold vengestone. I fight against it. I gasp when my green power turned purple. don't lose control now lloyd, just a little more. I grunt as I twist them open, leaving a little gap to squeeze through. "whoa lloyd, that's a-amazing " nya fell to her knees. "nya!" i help her up. Strangely I didn't feel any tiredness.

 "lloyd- y-your eyes...."

 "what about them?"

"t-they....they're purple!" Nya's eyes widen.

Kai's POV:

"uhm...kai?" I turned to see skylor, forgetting with her fingers with a numb expression. "yeah?" I poked my head from my room. "Well, um.... I've noticed some things, I just want to ask you.... do you still love me?" Skylor leaned in closer. Instead of replying I said ,"What makes you think that?" I ask in a rather plain tone. "The reason is that.... Cole and you've been pretty close and I see you two holding eachother's fingers-" "Cole is just a friend .He's my teammate and I'd never d-do that" I interrupted in a rather rude tone and pull a bit farther away. I felt bad about lieing but if I told the truth.... "Stay friends, promise me that" Skylor glared.
