"Tom, Tom, Tom." Connor flipped his butterfly knife every time he said Tom's name, "where's your stick?" He laughed out loud.

"I'm going to kill you." Tom stood there with his blood boiling. Blinded by complete and utter rage he charged Connor with every bit of strength he had within him. He tackled Connor who seemed to be unphased by Tom's attack, as if he wasn't even trying to kill Tom to begin with.

Tom pinned Connor's knifeholding hand to the ground. "Fight me you coward!" Tom yelled out.

"I don't need to fight you." Connor laughed. "I don't need to fight you," he said," you've been marked, your blood was already poisoned far before the game ever started." He said.

"You're wrong," Tom's eyes flared in rage.

"You're in denial." Connor whispered.

"Tom!" Emma's voice echoed in the distance, grabbing the attention of both them. Tom went from angry to worried as he saw Connor's eyes flare in response to Emma's calls.

"Her on the other hand." Connor smiled, "she's the prize." He pushed Tom off him.

Connor stood up dusting off his shoulders gently. "I'd slit your throat if death wasn 't around the corner for you," Connor said with a smile on his face.

"Screw you," Tom's voice cracked. He looked at Connor with defeat all over his face.

"Leave him alone!" Emma demanded as she emerged from the woods. Her eyes met Tom's within seconds from walking into that spot.

"The nerdy barbie is here!" Connor exclaimed.

"I said," she paused, "leave him alone," she demanded. Tom looked at her and couldn't help but feel ashamed. Here he was, admitting defeat when he didn't even start fighting yet. Tom looked at Emma and gave her a reassuring nod, he had a plan.

"Or what?" Connor yelled out, he glared at Emma. He flipped his knife once more; his grin grew and grew as he stepped closer and closer to Emma.

"Your British boy over here is far too pathetic to help you," he said.

"Shut the hell up," Tom said. He jumped on Connor tackling him from the back. He pinned both of his hands to the ground, he felt Connor struggle underneath him.

"Emma, NOW!" Tom called out. Emma ran towards them and stepped on Connor's hand. She broke the knife free from Connor's grip. Tom grabbed the knife and jumped off Connor as he felt heat release from his fists.

Connor screamed, but he wasn't burning up.
"Why isn't he burning? Tom asked. "His hand." Emma pointed as she saw a symbol appear on Connor's hand. Connor screamed as the symbol flared on his fists as well. his screams grew louder and louder with every passing second. Tom and Emma froze in place as they waited for what they thought was inevitable to happen.

Emma grabbed her phone and started taking a video of Connor. She was trying to catch whatever symbol that was on his hand. Connor's screams faded away, and so did all three symbols.

"You idiots!" Connor screamed.

"Stay back!" Tom held Connor's knife and pointed it towards him.

"You better start running or I will start counting," he threatened.
"You can't do that," Connor paused, "you wouldn't," He continued.

"Try me." Tom glared at Connor .

"You're lucky you weren't the soul for this round," Connor said before disappearing into the woods.

"Tom no!" Emma stood infront of Tom, "don't go after him," she paused. "He's gone." She looked at the woods before her, she was sure he wasn't coming back any time soon.

Shawn was driving home as his phone started ringing, he glanced at his phone to see it was Jenny calling. He picked up his phone and put the call on speaker.

"Miss me already?" He said with a wide smile. "h-help," She cried.

"Jen babe what happened?" his smile disappeared.

"Katy, sh- sh-" Jenny could barely speak; she was too devastated to do anything.
"Jen, listen to me," He paused for a second, "I can't understand what you're saying." He pulled over to the side of the road. "Take a deep breathe with me." He took a deep breath as he heard her do the same between sobs.

"Ok keep going," he said gently. Shawn heard her on the other line, breathing in and out between her sobs. Those sobs faded away as the sound of her shaky yet calm breathing took over. "Ok, what happened," Shawn asked.

"The d-demon," she stuttered.

"What happened is he after you?" Shawn asked as fear started taking over his mind.

"Not anymore..." she took a long pause before she could say the words that devastated her all over again. "It killed Katy." Jenny heard her voice echo through the speaker, she couldn't help but glance at Katy's body, rotting at her feet.

"I am on-" he couldn't continue his sentence as the truck coming up behind him in the distance turned its headlights on all the way up. instead of that trunk passing by it just stopped right behind Shawn's with the lights still on. "What is it?" Jenny asked as she noticed Shawn has gone quiet. "Nothing." He lied. He turned around to get a better look at that truck, but the headlights blinded his vision. His radio opened abruptly before he parted his lips to speak. Loud static noise came out before it became completely quiet.

"What was that?" Jenny's fear only got amplified when they both heard the radio.
"Ten,"
Shawn looked back at the truck, the lights went off. The driver, pale... Too pale. He held a small walkie talkie, Shawn looked at him closely as he said "Nine."

"Shawn? Are you there?" Jenny screamed to her phone.

"Jen I need you to listen to me, you're gonna hangup now and call 911, after I get out of this, and I will, I'll come find you, okay?" Shawn said, as calmly as he could.

"Okay," she said before she hungup the phone. She sat there in a pool of sorrow, pain and blood, she called 911.
