Today was a special day, not just because it's Ryujin's birthday but also because it marks the first win against a Kaiju using a Jaeger. The day this kind of technology was first introduced to the world. The world's heroes.

So, a worldwide event was held, it was a global holiday, and a parade was televised for the whole world to watch. But lucky residents of Tokyo could go to the town's center to see it happening firsthand.

The parade was about two hours long on tv and everyone would watch. Every functioning Jaeger will be presented and every official, pilot, and ranger will be praised.

This year, Winter and her team were lucky that their mentor was chosen for Jaeger duty. That meant that even though they're just rangers, they'll get to walk the parade within real jaegers. It's truly an honor.

But it's not like they'll be sporting the newest Jaegers in the program, they're going to be piloting Mark ones and twos most likely. But it's better than nothing.

Preparing for the parade was a long process, the rangers spent the whole morning preparing to be in a real jaeger for the first time. They all would walk around the workshop within their assigned Jaegers to get a feel for it before they walk through a city filled with millions of people.

Crimson Typhoon, a Mark 4 Jaeger, was Dani, Ryujin, and Chaeryeong's soldier for the day. Winter and Yuna got the honor of Cherno Alpha, a Mark 1 Jaeger. Neither of them were new Jaegers but that didn't mean they were boring or not appealing to the public.

Japanese Crimson Typhoon, as aforementioned, has three arms. Two on the right side and one on the left. Like its name suggests, the Jaeger is red, resembling a monster with one eye more than a humanoid. Its physique was completely unfamiliar and it's why it was very popular during its prime time. Not to mention the hands of the three arms all transform into spinning saws, it's called the Thundercloud Formation. It's responsible for several successful Kaiju deaths.

Though Cherno Alpha is the oldest and only Mark 1 to still exist, it is not to be underestimated. It is known for its unique figure as well, having more of a human figure until you get to its head, which is shaped like an old fashion aquatic helmet. And unlike other Jaegers, the pilot pod is in Cherno's heart rather than the head. Only because the head is actually a giant nuclear reactor. Cherno is a Russian soldier with a boxy look rather than a sleek one like Crimson Typhoon, it is also the slowest and heaviest Jaeger out of the whole fleet. But that is only because it is also the best armored and the most weaponized. Having the greatest muscle power, Cherno Alpha is the only Jaeger to date that has killed a Kaiju with its bare fists, nothing else.

Not to mention it shoots fire from its shoulder pads.

"I remember thinking Cherno was ugly when I was a kid." Ryujin admitted to her other two passengers, they were chilling, done with their training and watching Winter and Yuna walk Cherno around.

"I thought so too! I thought she was a water Jaeger because of her head!" Danielle confidently admitted next.

"What's a water Jaeger?" Chaeryeong questioned.

"You know..." Danielle started, "A jaeger that can do missions both on land and in the ocean but thrives in the ocean. It makes sense doesn't it? Because Kaiju rise from the world under the ocean."

"You make a good point, but knowing more about Cherno, she's way too heavy to be an underwater Jaeger. She would move even slower than she does now and with that nuclear reactor in her head? It would be a quick suicide." Ryujin reasoned.

"Sometimes I think Mentor Hwang has a nuclear reactor in her head, she's so scary when she blows up." Danielle sighed as if she was having flashbacks.

"What happened to you?" Ryujin asked sarcastically.
