Shopping was not the main focus of the outing though, once Ryujin was satisfied with what she bought. They hopped back into Yeji's car.
"I could have paid for you, Ryujin. I have so much money, it's not even funny."
"It's okay, all my accounts were about to close because I wasn't using any of my cards. I thought my parents froze my accounts."
"Well, maybe next time. I never get to use my money much because I'm always at work. You and the girls are giving me excuses to leave headquarters and actually spend this money. Danielle went ham earlier."
"You took Danielle out; she must have loved that."
"She did, it helped her make a clear decision and helped her feel better. I'm trying to do something for all of you guys individually."
"So that's what this is about, huh?"
"Maybe, but I just wanted an excuse to finally spend a night with you without having to hide you away."
They continued chatting until they finally arrived to the final location for the night. "Is this your house?" Ryujin questioned in awe. She's rich, yet she's shocked at how nice Yeji's home is.
"Yeah. I didn't buy it with my own money, though. I inherited it from my mother after she died, I didn't find out until I came of age. I've never actually taken anybody here before, not until now." Yeji smiled, putting her hand on Ryujin's exposed thigh and rubbing it adoringly.
Ryujin soaked in the gesture until they parked in the multi-car garage. Then she took Yeji's hand off just to kiss it. "Thank you for bringing me here, Yeji."
"Eung." Yeji hummed. They walked into the house together and as they took off their shoes and applied some house slippers , Yeji told Ryujin to make herself at home and that she's going to make them something to eat.
Ryujin walked through the house alone, not necessarily getting comfy, but getting to know what she has in this house and where it all is. She noted the amazing wine cellar, the indoor pool, the theater, the gym, and a giant pantry full of savory and sweet.
The pantry must be the size of a decent bedroom, and it was decently stocked with only a few things on the low. The house was so big, Ryujin wondered if she would get to walk through it all before the meal was ready. She wondered what Yeji was preparing, hopefully something Korean. She misses Korean food so much. She couldn't really miss her mom's cooking or her grandma's cooking since neither of them ever cooked for her, but she could say she missed Cook Jihyo's cooking. She's the God of the kitchen back at Ryujin's parents' house.
Every centimeter of this house was put into thought, every ceiling had elegant hand crafts molds, some rooms even had ceilings one might see in historic churches around the world. The house was that of an angel, so no wonder it belonged to Yeji. And no wonder her mother left it to her and no one else. Yeji must have been a great kid up until her mother died and she started acting irrationally. And that must mean that Yeji's mother was a great mother.
She was walking through the halls with marble floors until a familiar voice sounded through speakers in the ceiling, scaring her socks off.
"Ryujin-ah! Food's ready." Yeji said through the intercom with a chuckle because she knew that Ryujin was oblivious to there being an intercom system throughout the whole house, so she probably scared her.
"Ang, Unnie... Gamjagya, aish, Jinjja." Ryujin cursed, holding her hurt and slouching as she walked back to the garage door so she could retrace her steps back to the kitchen. She figured it would take a long time for anybody to get to know where everything is in this house.
