I woke up the following morning with a slight headache, obviously caused by the antics of last night. As I rolled over, I checked my phone and noticed I had a text message from Katie.

Katie

Morning Charlotte, I hope your head is not too sore! Me, Beth and Viv are going to get some lunch today at 12.30pm if you fancy it?

My eyes moved across the screen as I checked the time which read 10.45am. After considering Katie's offer, I decided to text Katie back confirming I will attend whilst making my way to the bathroom to freshen up. As I arrived at the small café, I noticed the three girls sat on a circular table to the left of the venue, next to the front window. I could tell I obviously still looked a little worse for wear as they laughed as their eyes met mine. Feeling slightly fragile I sat beside Katie, smiling back at the girls who were now eagerly discussing the antics of the night. Viv gave me a sarcastic smile before confronting me. "Now the question we all want to know Charlotte, is who you have your eye on" "Yeah, you thought you got out of it last night" Beth added. I shifted slightly in my seat, noticeably becoming uncomfortable. Without saying anything I looked at Beth and Viv who were intensely watching my reaction, Katie giggling next to me in anticipation. How can I answer this when I haven't figured it out myself, I thought. Katie on one hand had the personality, sense of humour and overall, just made me feel at ease when in her presence. And her accent wow. However, Leah was the complete opposite. She has a slightly awkward personality where you cannot always tell the emotions she is feeling. Her facial expressions never seem to give anything away either. But those blue eyes, when they look directly at me, I feel as though fireworks are erupting inside my body. The way she throws her head back and slaps her hands together as she laughs, the way my eyes are automatically drawn to her when she enters a room, it is hard to describe the way Leah makes me feel. Maybe that was the difference?

I took a deep breathe before I finally replied "Please girls, I need to figure it out myself before I can tell you lot. I promise I will tell you once I have got my head together." A look of suspicion spread across the face of Viv, Beth and Katie. As I waited in anticipation for their response, to my surprise Beth agreed whilst rolling her eyes at me. Finally, this topic of conversation was dropped.

After we finished our food, Katie suggested us going to her house for the remaining of the afternoon to relax watching films and eating junk food. This was ideal way of spending a hungover Sunday so of course I agreed. After stopping at Sainsbury's and buying every form of crisp they had available, we eventually arrived at Katie's house. I made my way over to the two-seater where Katie was sat and took a seat next to her under the blanket she had. Beth and Viv were sprawled across the larger sofa as Beth had her head on Viv's chest. We finally agreed on a film to watch, Just Go With it with Adam and Sandler and Jennifer Anniston starring and the mood became relaxed as we got comfortable.
