Leah's Pov
I am not one to lounge around when hungover, I find being proactive a better cure and so I had agreed to meet my family to watch my brother's football game. It was only 1 hour away from my apartment and so I gathered it would be better than being sat alone. After the game, my family decided to go to a local pub for Sunday dinner. We sat around laughing and exchanging stories from our childhood, my mum making me the brunt of all jokes as usual. Although I was having the best time with my family, I could not stop thinking about Charlotte. There is something about that girl that is so intriguing, no matter how much I try and distract myself, my thoughts always return to her. I wonder how she has spent her day today? I was tempted to message her earlier to see if she wanted to join me at my brother's game, but I decided against it as we have not spoken since we said goodnight. I just wanted to be in her company, or at least talk to her. But I could not build up the courage to do it in fear of rejection. Just because I have these feelings towards her, does not mean she will reciprocate them. Besides, she said last night she has her eye on 2 girls on the team, so I bet I am not even one of them. After I said goodbye to my family, I got into my car ready to make the 1-hour journey back home. Still sat in the parking bay, I contemplated texting Charlotte to arrange a movie night at my place tonight just us two but managed to talk myself out of it. After battling with my thoughts for 10minutes I decided fuck it and eventually sent the text.
Leah – 6.00pm
Hey Charl, I was just wondering if you fancied a movie night at mine tonight? x
Once I finally hit send, I began my drive back home.
Charlotte's Pov
As my eyes began to flicker open, I looked around, slightly confused as to where I was. To my left I seen Beth and Viv snuggled up fast asleep on one another. At some point Katie had put her head on my shoulder and was currently curled up cuddling into me fast asleep. When did this happen? I'm so glad Beth and Viv are still asleep, so they haven't seen this. I picked up my phone and noticed I had lots of notifications from Instagram, clicking on the app I was notified to being tagged in a story by Beth, 2 hours ago. As I clicked on it, my heart dropped to my stomach. She had uploaded a photo of me and Katie asleep in the position I had just woke up from. Fuck my instant thought was of Leah. Had she seen it yet? Will she be bothered by it. After closing the app, my eyes lit up as I noticed I had received a text from Leah herself. The sudden realisation of the Instagram post by Beth hit and I panicked thinking of what the text from Leah Said.
Leah – 6.00pm
Hey Charl, I was just wondering if you fancied a movie night at mine tonight? x
Charlotte – 9.00pm
Hey Leah, I am so sorry I have only just seen this. We can still do something now if you are free or tomorrow if that's better for you? X
My heart was now beating rapidly against my chest waiting a response from Leah, I decided to slide myself out from underneath Katie to head home. Gently closing the front door behind me, I made my way to my car. As soon as I had arrived home I checked my phone for a response from Leah – nothing. Sighing deeply, I sat down on my sofa and continued the episode of Friends I was previously watching. After time had passed, I still had her nothing from Leah. A sunken feeling remained apparent in my chest. Was I feeling guilty at the thought of her seeing the photo of me and Katie? Had she gotten the wrong idea? At this point, it became clear it was Leah who I wanted to pursue things with. Not knowing how she felt towards me was another matter but the last thing I want is for her to be upset or angry with me.
2 hours had past and I had still not received a reply from Leah. I would understand if she was upset with me but she could at least of texted me back. I decided to message her again.
Leah – 6.00pm

Charlotte – 9.00pm
Hey Leah, I am so sorry I have only just seen this. We can still do something now if you are free or tomorrow if that's better for you? X
Charlotte – 11.15pm
Leah?
I waited a further 15 minutes to give Leah a chance to respond, which of course she didn't, and so I decided the best thing for me to do was to go to sleep. Great, training is gonna be fun tomorrow.
