I was awoken by the sunlight which had crept through the smallest gap in between the blinds where they had not been closed properly. As I forced my eyes open, my head was pounding through the amount of crying I had done the day before. Falling asleep after crying always made me feel this way the morning after. Just as I was reflecting once again on my conversation with Leah, I heard a slight snore appear from behind me, snapping me back to reality. As I looked down, Leah's hand was still resting around my waist. Her body firmly held against mine as she remained deep in sleep. A sigh of relief had overtaken me as I remembered how she came into my bed last night, cuddling me until we both must of fell asleep. Maybe we could work through this. Just as I was about to drift back off to sleep still lay in Leah's arms, it suddenly dawned on me. Leah was with Jordan, I had seen how close they had gotten in my absence, why was Leah in my bed? How could she do this to Jordan.

Leah was so caring towards me last night, ensuring I was okay and helped me get to sleep. As much as I wanted to stay, I knew this was wrong and had to remove myself from the situation. Gently lifting her arm, I removed it from around my waist which enabled me to slowly slide out of the bed. Being as quiet as possible, I got myself changed into my training kit and quickly made my way downstairs for breakfast, making sure I didn't disturb Leah in the process.

Today was our first full day on camp, luckily training didn't start until 11am so I had a few hours to spare until it began. As I entered the canteen, I was expecting the tables to be empty as I knew the girls would be tired from yesterday. To my surprise, I saw Millie and Rach sat on the table in the corner laughing whilst they scrolled through Tik Tok videos. I grabbed some food from the buffet station and made my way to take a seat with them.

"Morning gal" Millie cheerily greeted.

"Morning girls, wasn't expecting anyone to be up this early" I giggled as I began to tuck into my breakfast.

"First day nerves... well excitement, you know what we're like Jonesy, just ready to get started now" Rachel nodded enthusiastically.

I loved being around these two, they made it seem like there was not a care in the world and seem to enjoy each moment which was presented to them. As we sat and chatted for a while, the canteen began to fill as the rest of the team made their way to breakfast in staggered groups. Just as I was grabbing another bottle of orange juice from the fridge, in walked Leah. Accompanied by Lucy Kiera, Georgia and Jordan. Great, this is just how I wanted our first encounter to go.

"Hey charlotte, how you are feeling today?" Keira questioned whilst taking her position in the queue awaiting to fill her plate with her food.

"Yeah, I'm good thanks Kei, how're you?" I could feel Leah's eyes intently staring at me. As I offered a small smile in her direction, I noticed a look of confusion spread across her face. It didn't surprise me; she probably thinks I'm blowing hot and cold after I disappeared without saying a word to her this morning. I couldn't help it though, why would she cuddle me if she was seeing someone else? Especially as she was so convinced it was me who had cheated on her in the first place. I took this as my queue to leave, exiting the canteen I decided to take a walk around the training pitches. Today was the first day, our first chance to make a lasting impression on Sarina. I needed to get my head in the game.

As hard as it was to avoid Leah, I knew it was exactly what I needed to do right now.

Luckily, this was made easier as our training session was split into attackers and defenders as we had a break down on a few different scenarios and drills that Sarina and the coaching team wanted us to complete. After a couple of set pieces and completing a few fitness tests, we played short games of 7 aside, again I was lucky enough to not be on Leah's team which made avoiding her that little bit easier.
