After Luke asked Clover that question, she made up an obvious lie of something she needed to do and went to her bedroom and stayed for the rest of night. She unpacked, knowing she was going to be a mess if she didn't put her clothes somewhere and went to bed.

The next morning, Luke and Liz went out again, Clover saying she didn't wanna go, and she went back outside to sip her coffee and watch the sun and overhead of Los Angeles.

And like the cycle from yesterday repeated itself, Blake came outside and tried to make conversation with Clover but in not a flirty way, a goofy way and Griffin shouted at him to stop.

"Are you coming outside to come see us, Clover?" Griffin jokes, leaning against the fence and watching Clover.

"Yes, oh yes, cause that's what I wanna do." Clover humored after she sipped her coffee. "You and not the beautiful sunrise."

"Have you never been here before?" Griffin asked.

"My brother lived across Los Angeles before, so yes, but never this view." Clover informed, gaining a nod from Griffin.

"Well, have fun enjoying your sunrise."

Griffin bid Clover a goodbye and went back inside. A few minutes later, Clover went back inside. She put her phone up on the water bottle and facetimed Gavin, who was in a better mood.

"Hi angel," Gavin smiled. "You look radiant today."

"Why thank you," Clover bowed, sipping on her coffee. "I figured you'd be asleep right now."

"Ah, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to talk to my favorite girl." Gavin smiled. "What have you done so far?"

"I went outside, talked to the neighbors for a second, my brother and mom went over to his old house to get the last couple things." Clover shrugged. "Nothin much, really."

"Neighbors?" Gavin raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, they were outside and wanted to know how my brother was and such." Clover said, carefully stepping around eggshells.

"What are their names?" Gavin asked.

"Griffin and Blake."

"They're boys?" Gavin's eyebrow raised.

"Yeah." Clover bit her lip. "It's nothing though, they help my brother with yard work—"

"I don't want you speaking to these boys anymore." Gavin ordered. "They sound flirty and I don't enjoy it."

"From asking how me and my brother was—"

"If you loved me, you would do it."

That was it for Clover. She didn't argue any further and agreed. An hour later, Gavin went to sleep and Clover sat down on the couch to watch some movies until it was noon.

She planned to go on a run today, so she got up after Frozen 2 finished and changed into lululemon leggings and a workout tank top, put in her airpods and started her jog. She admired the cliff view, the houses that looked like you had to win the lottery to own them, and admired the dogs she saw being walked.

"Your dog is adorable," She commented on a husky puppy being walked by an elderly couple. They smiled wide.

"You can pet her." They said, smiling. "Her name is Scout."

"Scout," Clover repeated, letting the dog lick her face and be excited to be petted. "It's cute."

"Thank you dear. Are you new to this neighborhood?" The woman asked.

"No, no. I don't live here, as you can tell from the accent," Clover laughed. "I'm from Australia. My brother lives here and he just moved into the house we're staying in."

"Oh well that's lovely!" She said, "I'm Poppy, and this is Bill. We live up the street up there."

"Oh," Clover nodded. "My name is Clover. My brother lives that way," She said, pointing in the direction of Luke's house and still petting Scout.

"Well maybe we'll run into you." Poppy said, giving Clover a warm smile. "It was lovely meeting you, Clover. Bye honey!"

Clover watched as Scout, Poppy and Bill walked the way she came and smiled while doing it. After watching for an amount of time, she began to run again. Clover ran all the way to the lookout and admired the scenery around.

Los Angeles was beautiful, she couldn't lie. The horizon, the car lights driving down the interstate, the sounds of horns was a nice touch too.

After she got a text from Luke asking where she was, she made her way back to Luke's house.

"Hey, where were you?" Liz asked as Clover walked in, taking out her Airpods.

"Went on a jog," Clover shrugged. "Met an elderly couple with a puppy husky named Scout too. It was nice."

"Well," Liz smiled. "That sounds fun!"

Clover smiled genuinely. "It was."

Liz was feeling less and less guilty of leaving Clover in America after hearing how much she likes it.

Clover walked into the backyard once again for the last time and sat next to Luke who was enjoying a bear and playing the guitar. She sat next to him.

"The view is beautiful." Luke said, catching Clover slightly off guard.

"It is." She agreed. "I wish home was like this."

Luke wanted to tell her so bad that she was staying here. He wanted to tell her that he would protect her from any harm.

But in the end, he decided against it.
