"We go to Hange for debriefing. Wait for Erwin and what he has planned. Then hopefully, we get to Eren, Ymir and the traitors, in time. Before sunset."

We rode fast through the plains of Rose. My mind void of anything but a certain goal, split up into many smaller steps. Midway through the ride, the clouds began to weep, natures tears gradually caressing exposed skin and eventually descending into the fabric that clung to our figures.

Sin's breathing, regardless of the pace he was running, remained even. His speed remained very much the same throughout the ride, even with the subtle changes in terrain. His grey coat shining with the dreary light the sun provided through the clouds.

Eventually, the boys took the lead and guided me to the part of the wall where the traitors had shown themselves. I was on the lookout for titans, the slightest glimpse of one, even after the boys reassured me that there wasn't a breach in the wall after all.

The silence between the three of us was voluntary, none of us choosing to speak unnecessarily. A tense void drifting between us, although the silence was also an opportunity to dwell in our thoughts.

"Hey Sunshine." Zion calls back at me. I blink, caught off guard by the sudden acknowledgment of my name. I raise my eyebrows in attentiveness as he looked over his shoulder at me. "Happy birthday." I let out a soft snort, both in appreciation and irony.

Happy, birthday, eh? My look dropped down to my hands, the emerald bracelet barely peeking out from under the sleeve of my jacket. A small reminder that there was something to be happy about today. A token I received that in a way, and even in the very little time I've possessed it, I can use to preserve whatever happiness I have left in me.

Was I happy though? How long has it been since I laughed to the point of tears? And with whom was it I had shared those joyful tears with? Will I experience it again?

"Yeah, happy birthday, sis." Reece beams at me. I gave a smile after a moment. These guys are my brothers. They are a source of my happiness. Them. Mum and Dad. Felix, my sister in law and my nephew. The Felix squad. Hange.

Levi.

"Thank you, guys." I manage to utter back over the calls of the wind that whirled around us. Not much more was spoken afterwards. Not much was to be spoken of afterwards. Once again finding ourselves suffocating in a silence, we are trapped within ourselves with such unruly thoughts running rampant.

I truly hoped everyone was okay. Especially Hange, who didn't have the same capability of healing faculties that Eren did. Unfortunately, we didn't heal nearly as fast as the titan shifters among us, for however of them there were that lived among us in secret. Four titan shifters were discovered so far, just how many more are there?

"There's... also more to the situation." Reece admits. I gazed at his back, his head not making an effort to turn and face me. His shoulders heaved up and down in a sigh, as if he were contemplating on whether or not to tell me this. I narrowed my eyes at him, furrowed eyebrows pulling my expression into one of suspicion. He didn't carry on with his words for a bit, annoying me more than it should've.

"So..?" I urge, patience slowly draining from me.

"Ymir was also a titan. Reiner and Bertholdt also took her." Zion sighed. At this point, all these reveals were laughable. A humorless joke, yet still something I could laugh at. A reaction that I couldn't help but let build up in my throat. It erupted shortly after, a dry chuckle escaping my lips. The two boys looked at me with questioning expressions, my head shaking as the last laugh left me.
