I wonder.

To my surprise, Commander Erwin requested me in his office once again the next day.
What could it be this time? Am I being uninvited to this mission that I was somewhat looking forward to?
Walking down the corridor to his office, my eyes were clouded with thoughts that seemed to blind me. My feet automatically leading me in the direction I was being magnetically pulled to, I accidentally bump into someone causing my thoughts to vanish. I look up with wide eyes and am greeted by the large glistening brown eyes of Hange.
"Y/N!" She exclaimed shaking excitedly as she stood before me.
"Hange?" I say, yet it came out as a question.
"Hange!" She beamed making my confusion grow.
"Y/N?" I reply perplexed. "Wait, what are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be at training? I swear I saw your squad outside-" I start before she gasped dramatically.
"The hypocrisy! It hurts!" She clutched the fabric on her chest in an exaggerated manner.
"I got called to the Commanders office. Go to training." I say blankly. She raised an eyebrow with a mischievous grin.
"Orrr, you can ditch that meeting or whatever and come with me!" She exclaims, taking my hand and dragging me through the hallways, away from my original destination.
"Hange, this is crucial. I have a mission in two days, this could be significant." I say, ripping my hand from her gasp. She looked back at me with a pout. "Listen, I apologize but I really must go." I add before turning on my heel and leaving her standing in the corridor with a saddened aura.
Guilt ate at me as I left her there, before I catch a glimpse of her shrugging and skipping around a corner, disappearing from view. Somewhat relieved at her sudden upbeat demeanor, I continue on my way to the Commanders office.
Knitting my brows together perplexed, I knock on the blondes door before getting permission to enter. As per usual, Erwin had an inviting expression on his face as he watched my face twist into various different ones; none of which are positive. I hesitantly sat myself down in a chair in front of his desk, yet again, and await his reason for my being here.
"Sorry to ask for you again, L/N." He began, shifting papers around on his desk and sorting them into neat stacks. "Just for today, I'm willing to train with you to examine your close combat skills." He said to me standing up from his chair and looking at me warmly. Gazing up at his deep blue eyes, and feeling the warmth that somehow radiated from them, I feel the pressure in my chest fade away. I nod in response, before he made his way around the desk and waited at the door for me to follow behind him.
Getting up, I walk to the door I had just walked through a mere thirty seconds ago and trail behind the blonde whose strides were long. He was a tall fellow, standing at a staggering height of six-foot-two. A head of tidy blonde hair, eyes of the warmest blue and eyebrows bigger than the biggest forest known to the walls.
He lead me outside where the scorching sun was high in the sky. At the sight of Erwin walking through the yard with me behind him, of course it granted us the attention of many scouts. Catching a glimpse of the trio, they asked many questions with their eyes. Mouthing the words 'talk later' to them, gave me a firm nod before returning to their activities.
Erwin stopped abruptly in a small clearing, not too far from the rest of the squads. Looking around, I see that I'm the only person in Erwin's presence.
