"Of course."

***

The next day, I was woken up by Isabel throwing herself onto my slightly aching body. I groan at the sudden weight that restricted my breathing.

"Y/N~" Isabel sang. I peek through a small slit in my eyes at a beaming Isabel as she lay across my chest, smiling down at me.

"What?" I strain, attempting to roll over in the bed and bury myself in the covers.

"It's time to get up~" She sang again. I fight against the urge to keep my eyelids closed, my vision slowly expanding with each millimeter my eyes receded. The room was still dark, no sign of movement outside in the corridors whatsoever.

"What do you mean it's time to get up? Dawn hasn't even broken yet." I croaked, finally mustering up the strength to twist my body around making Isabel wobble around on the bed.

"Bro usually makes us get up around this time. Or at least I think it was this time." She sits up and looks at the ceiling thoughtfully. "Oh well, it feels like the correct time so therefore! You must get up too!" She exclaims. I turn to angle my head so I could glare at her.

"Unfortunately, Isabel, my internal clock doesn't work like your heartless comrades." I whisper, moving my head around in my pillow making it more comfortable. My eyes closed once again.

"He's not my comrade." She responded blankly. Sighing, I look at her again, giving her a questioning glance. "He's my brother, blood or not. He's not to be considered a comrade." The expression on her face showed her determination to the fact, so I didn't push the topic.

"Brother or whatever then." I return to my prior position. "Go find them then, I'll be here until we're required to get up." I yawn, feeling myself slip away slightly. A heavy sigh sounded from behind me before footsteps approached the door, opened it, stepped outside closing the door and faded away.

Finally at peace, I fall asleep once more.

I was left unbothered for the remainder of the night until my mind started urging me to wake up. Sighing, I flung the covers off my body and stretched. Feeling satisfied after my back cracked a few times, I exhale heavily and force myself to get out of bed.

Putting on my uniform attire, I groan internally at the thought of having to use my legs to get to the mess hall for breakfast. Every few minutes, the occasional person would walk passed my door and a slight shadow was cast under the door as they continued down the corridor. Making sure I was ready for the coming hours of day, I walk out and head to the mess hall.

As I entered the hall, I saw our usual table was more packed than usual. Reece, Hange and Zion sat on one side of the table whereas Sam, Isabel, Farlan and Levi sat on the other side. Though, there was a gap between Levi and Sam either waiting for someone else or because of their distaste for one another.

Sam looked uncomfortable with the sudden presence of the newbies at our table. Isabel and Hange seemed to get along like a house on fire, Farlan listening in to their conversation. Sam tried to initiate conversation with Reece and Zion who were too busy stuffing their faces with the food placed in front of them and Levi remained disinterested.

I approach the table, looking down at everyone as I stood higher than them.
I smiled.

"Sunshine, come sit here." Sam beamed, seemingly relieved by my arrival. I raise an eyebrow in question as I glance at Levi who looked at me unfazed.

Now, I did contemplate on being an asshole to Sam for being a complete jerk for the past day. And the consideration was real.

Make Sam suffer and leave him to sit next to such a frightening man, or save him the fear and block their paths.
