Forewarning: Descriptions of feeling dissociation/trauma
"Everything... Everything okay? Minho? Seungmin?"
Seungmin shifted his vacant gaze from the painted blue sky ceiling in Felix's apartment, tilting over to the one attempting to talk to the pair of lifeless walls. His head rolling across the back of the copper rusted leather couch, his arms filled with unmovable cement and lead as they hung limp by his sides on the cushions, the gash wrapped tightly up in gauze that peered from underneath his oversized T-shirt, them having explained the massive cut away as a glass bottle he accidentally fell on the day prior. Barely a twitch or flinch to his numb fingers announcing his being as existing in the living world still. Hardly a glimmer of a will existing in his muscles to spark up again and press off the couch he melted miserably into.
His gaze landed on the bundled lips and sympathetic eyes of Felix. His head tilted slightly to the side to match parallel with Seungmin's unmoving body, a potted plant in hugged tightly in his hands forcing him to croon his neck to look him over, the flecks of dirt from inside staining his cheek as Pants happily padded after him, attempting to knock her human off balance while he wasn't paying attention to her. He shifted himself back up, turning himself to where Minho neglected to move from for the past few hours, "You two look so glum."
"We're fine. Work. We're having a hard time with the recent case, it's taking a toll on us," Minho quickly answered him.
"As long as you're both okay. I'm here to talk if you both want to unload at all," Felix reaffirmed. With heavy eyes, Seungmin watched the vampire set the potted plant down on his coffee table, the clay scratching against his sketchbooks beneath the muddy rim of pottery. Keeping his vacant eyes trailing after him, hoping the slender shoulders skirting around the apartment would be enough to occupy his mind. Keep him from having to think and recall the memories trying to miserably crawl up the back of his throat. With that final note, and a quick upturn of the lips to Seungmin as some attempt of reassurance, Felix waddled off with Pants, "I'm going to make dinner."
"I'll be there to help in a moment," Minho uttered after his retreating form.
When he was far enough away, Seungmin finally shifted his gaze to the other vampire. Where he undoubtedly laid; His legs kicked up on the back of the couch beside Seungmin, spine pressing into the cushions, neck barely fitting on the ledge with his hair strands threatening to dangle on a tightrope off the edge. Seungmin didn't know why he was laying as he was, he didn't want to know why, as long as Minho said he was comfortable staying in that position. But considering neither of them had moved since they arrived at home that early morning, his blood had to have started collecting in his brain by now. He had to be experiencing lightheadedness to the utmost degree. Or did the slight incline of his neck on the pillows allow for him to be free of that pain? Who knows. Seungmin certainly didn't.
Seungmin stared down at him, still feeling a bit too numb to do more.
Still feeling too much static in his mind to think, too many needles poked into his muscles to move, too frequently a wave or two of dizziness that kept him shoved against the couch as he continued to reel. Reveling.
Last night, his nightmares came back to life.
Last night, the devil greeted him again. Leaving scratches and blips of blood surfacing around his wrapped ankle. Marking the spot above Minho's eyebrow with a furious glow of mauve staining and plum sprinkling, the bruise still glowing in red around the edged. Proving, he wasn't dreaming. The encounter wasn't his imagination.
And as terrified as he was,
How more infuriating the composed and teasing nature of those demons were.
