Shaila's pov:

"Are you sure they know i'm coming to this party?" I ask Naomi, for the hundredth time already.

We are currently both in the car, with Liam and Dylan, and we're on our way to a party Naomi was invited to. She wanted me to go with her to the party, which is in Louis's house. At first I wasn't going to go, and for the first time she didn't try to change my mind. However, I end up here because of Dylan. He called me literally after I declined Naomi's offer, and he invited me to his cousin's party. I wanted to say no and come up with a good excuse, but I couldn't lie to Dylan, I mean, l would feel awful lying to him. So, I said yes, and now i'm seriously regretting it.

"It is not a party" Dylan answers, I think he is getting annoyed. "My cousin just invited his close friends over."

Thats why I don't belong there, i thought of saying. But I couldn't, Dylan can't find out that I hate his cousin and his friends. I'll have to act nice and fake a smile around them. Imagine if Dylan found out I hate a member of his family, and the member of his family hates me back! He'll obviously take his cousin's side, and he'll immediately leave me. Maybe, Louis will tell Dylan what a dork and antisocial girl I am, and he won't want to date me. I can't let that happen, I seriously can't. I've never been this excited about anyone before, literally. Dylan is the only guy I can be myself with, I think. We have so much things in common, he makes me laugh, he is intelligent, he is everything I look for in a guy. I can't let Louis or his friends take that away from me. If I want to date him, I might as well try not to hate Louis so much.

"Are you okay, Shai?" Dylan asks, breaking me from my thoughts. We're both sitting in the backseat, while Naomi is on the passenger's seat and Liam is driving.

I turn to look at Dylan, who seems preoccupied, and I smile warmly at him. "I'm great" I lie. Seriously I'm not okay, I'm so freaking nervous.

"Good" he smiles, and grabs my hand, intertwining our fingers together. I smile at his small gesture. I don't know what we are, but we are definitely more than friends, even if he hasn't asked me out on a date.

"It's going to be so fun!" Naomi exclaims.

"Yeah, a party with a bunch of seniors" Liam says sarcastically, and a small laugh escapes from his lips. Naomi rolls her eyes at her boyfriend.

"You're forgetting that you're dating one" she replies.

"I'm kidding" he says. "But i'm definitely not excited about this Louis guy" he adds, with a hint of jealousy in his tone.

"He is a friend, Liam"

"I know babe, but you've been spending quite a lot time with him" he replies, and by the looks of it I can tell he is not joking around anymore. He is seriously jealous, and I can tell it will bring problems between the both of them.

"And you've been spending a lot of time with Carmen" Naomi spats back.

"That is different, Naomi, Carmen has a girlfriend"

"So? Boys like what they can't get. How do I know that you don't like her?"

"Because I love you, Naomi"

"Are you saying that I don't love you back? If you're doubting my loyalty with our relationship, we might as well just break up, you know"

"I'm not saying that. It is not you who I'm worried about, it is Louis"

I roll my eyes and stare at the window. This is a typical fight between the two of them, i'm already used to it. By the look on Dylan's face, I can tell he is uncomfortable as my best friend argues with her boyfriend. I, on the other hand, am used to it. I've been in many of their fights, so i've learned to ignore them after a while. Besides, this fights have nothing to do with the ones I experience at home with my parents, those really are horrible.
