13. Back again .

You wake up to someone's banging on the front door.
Just you in lockwoods bed .
He must be up answering the door .
You grab a jumper and put your slippers on .
You go down the straits and find you're brother pinning Lockwood up to the wall by the scruff of his top .
" QUILL WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING !"
You scream now trying to pull him off of Lockwood .
" it's .. okay love , we are just talking "
Lockwood says struggling to talk .
" Y/N whats happened to your face ? DID HE DO THIS TO YOU!"
Your brother demands now looking at the mess your face is still in .
" no he bloody didn't . Someone broke in here looking for some ring they beat the shit out of me "
Your brother places Lockwood on the floor once again .
" I'm guessing this is why you called them Tony .
Do you know who broke in ? "
Quill says now marching into the kitchen .
" yes it is . I would have called sooner but knowing your sister she wouldn't have let me call you "
Lockwood says pulling himself up from the floor .
You stand there shocked at what's happening.
You follow Lockwood and Quill into the kitchen .

" so do you know who came into the house ? Anything that we can use to identify them ?"
Quill says while pacing the kitchen.
" no Y/N can't remember a lot just that they wanted this ring . "
Georgie places the ring on the table in a silver locket .
You sit at the table still shocked about what's happening .
" I'll take it back to Fittes and get it checked over , see if we can find anything else about it .
I don't want it here while Y/Ns staying here incase they come back . "
" I live here ... I'm not 'staying ' here . I live here "
You finally speak up .
Everyone turns to look at you now .
" they wore all black I couldn't figure out if it was a women or a man but they were pissed off and wanted that ring . That's what I remember "
Silence .
"We'll love you don't have to worry about it anymore , it's not going to be kept in the house . Georgie go get all the information we have on the ring and the ghost Annabell and give it to Quill .
I'm ready to admit defeat ."
Even more shocked now everyone looks to Lockwood .
" really Tony after all these years you finally admit you need help ... that you can't solve this one on your own "
Quill says in a cocky tone .
" if it keeps Y/N safe then yes ... you win "
And in that the moment you know how much you truly mean to Lockwood .

" I'll be on my way now then . Y/N dad says he misses you and wants you and Lockwood to come for dinner soon . I hope to hear from you soon . I do miss you ."
His tone almost sounds sad .
" I'm sure me and Lockwood can join you and dad for dinner soon . I will call Dad and arrange it . I miss you too "
With that he turns away and walks out the door Lockwood following him closing the door to the kitchen .
You go up the kitchen door to listen to what they are saying .
" I respect you for looking after her now Lockwood but you hurt or let her get hurt again ... run because if I find you"
" I know Kipps ... I don't want to hurt her ... I love her "
You hear the front door shut and hurry back to the table before Lockwood comes back .

Everyone sits at the table waiting for Lockwood to come back and as he opens the door with only one foot in the door .
" Y/N was listening at the door "
Georgie blurts out .
" FUCK YOU GEORGIE AND FUCK YOU LCOKWOOD . Calling my brother behind my back ! Why would you do that !"
You scream going red in the face with anger , why would he go behind your back like that .
" I will never apologize for keeping you safe Y/N . The rings his problem now ."
You cross your arms in anger while Lockwood places a hand on your shoulder .
" don't touch me right now please "
You move your shoulder away from his hand .
A frown forms on his face now siting down at the head of the table .
" why did you give him the ring and all our research Lockwood . This was our case as well "
Lucy says while jumping up from the table , she seem more pissed off then you .
" dose it matter ? We have a big case tonight ... can we focus on that please "
Lockwood says now getting up to make a cuppa tea .
" I'm staying here tonight . I'm staying here even if you don't like it Locky . They won't come back here now , the rings gone . I'm staying and I don't care what you say . "
" Y/N you are not staying here on your own you will come with me . You'll be safe with me "
" IM NOT GOING "
" YOU ARE NOT STAYING HERE ON YOUR FUCKING OWN ! I CANT KEEP YOU SAFE HERE WITHOUT ME ... WITHOUT ANYONE HERE !"
He shouts at you .
A look of horror builds on your face , it's the first time he's ever raised his voice at you .
" fuck you lockwood . I'm staying here get over it "
You stand up from the table and storm out of the kitchen and march your way up to the attic slamming the door and clinging straight into the bed .
Tears now falling uncontrollably down your face .

You must have fallen asleep once you wake up you see it's dark outside .
You make your way out of the attic and down to the library.
A note with your name on left on the mantle piece.

I am sorry for the way I spoke to you ,
We've gone to deal with this case .
We won't be back till late , so please for the love of god don't wait up .
I hope to find you in OUR room when I get home .
