All of you sat round the kitchen table , Lucy jotting down some bits about the case they are working on .
Its been about 2 weeks since they had an actual case .
" you brother was here weeks ages asking for you to see him , asking me and you to go for dinner ! Y/N you can't keep avoiding this !"
Lockwood tells you , pissing you off even more .
" I don't want to go for dinner with my dad , brother and boyfriend... I don't ever want to see my brother again ! He's a dickhead "

Georgie says looking to Lockwood who now looks less pissed off .

You slowly drag yourself from the table , making your way to the police in the hallway .
You pick up the phone and dial the number to your old home phone.
' Hello Mr Quill speaking '
' hi Dad it's me Y/N '
' oh sweetheart finally, I thought you would never call '
' I just got caught up with a few things '
' that's alright my dear , it's just nice to hear your voice again '
' Dad I was hoping to sort out a date and time for when me and Lockwood could come for dinner '

All you hear then is the dial tone .
You hit your head against the wall and then he's d back to the kitchen to let Lockwood know the plan .

Back in the kitchen they are all talking about the case .
" okay we should be able to find the source tonight case closed "
Lucy says looking to Georgie ... you know what it meant when they closed a case the dreaded headboard.
" lockwood can't go tonight unfortunately.
We have dinner at 6 so we need to go shopping to find something yo wear "

You look to Georgie and Lucy
" I'm sorry you two but the headboards gonna have to wait one more night .
You can do more research and figure out the source before you go there "
You look to Lockwood who's now sulking.
" Y/N is there no way we can do tomorrow?"
" No Lockwood , are you coming to the shops with me or not ?"

You and Lucy look to one another and nod .

You shout while closing the front door .

You say grabbing her arm and linking it with yours .
" bookshop then we'll go find you a dress?"
" sounds like a plan but I need to get Lockwood a matching tie the same color as my dress"
You smile to each other and make your way to the shops .

You find a purple velvet dress mid length , tight fitting with a small slit on the side .
" Luce what about this one ? "
" yes a million times yes "
Lucy responds.
" okay I just need to find the right tie to match .
Hopefully he will wear this color ."
You search for what feels like Horus and find the perfect tie for him .

Once home you jump in the shower and get your hair dry and curled .
Lucy comes and helps you get your dress on as your back still hurts from time to time .
While Lucy sits with you in lockwoods room she notice something .
" Y/N you've been here for like a month now yeah ? Have you not have your period yet ? I don't see any tampons anywhere "
