Weeks had gone by .
You and Lockwood happy .
Lucy and Georgie happy together.
The company thriving ,more cases then you could all handle .
It was winter now .
Cold .
Darker at 4:30 .
You love the cold especially now you spend it cuddled up with Lockwood .
You miss your brother .
You don't know why but you do.
You talk with the skull a-lot more now .
He keeps you company when everyone else goes on a case .
You do go with them for some cases not all .
Lockwood worry's over you more then ever .
Whenever you go out with Lucy he's usually about 20 steps behind you , never letting you out of his sight .
You still have a sneaky cigarette here and there .
Life is good at the moment.

" umm I'm not sure I'll have to double check with Georgie , we really need to set up a booking system. Lucy double booked us tonight so it's a long one but they both quick jobs . Both on either sides of town ."
He says while rolling his eyes while he carry's on washing up .
You sit at the kitchen table .
You still haven't brought up the letter .
" OMG ! We've been invited to a ball ! Like them things you see in the magazines !"
Lucy says now running into the kitchen .
" oh no they are horrible Lucy ! Quill use to make me go to them , yeah it's fun getting dressed up and seeing everyone but my god until all the adults leave it's boring as fuck !"
You say swinging back on your chair .
Lockwood now holding the chair looking down to you .
" I would like to my love ,Lucy and Georgie would like to go ... so will you come with me ?"

You roll yours eyes at him .
" fine but you know what that means .... SHOPPING "
You say while laughing and watching the regret appear on Lockwoods face .
Lucy now jumping with joy over hearing it's time for a shopping trip .
You glance over to the kitchen door seeing Georgie stood there looking annoyed about something .
" I don't want to have to wear a suit "

You say grabbing the invite off of Lucy .
Reading the invite.

You says trying to sound posh .

Scanning over the invite you check the back .

With that the front door closes .
Left in the house again all alone .

You go into the kitchen and start making something for dinner .
You hear books falling over .

Making your way into the hallway knife in hand .
Standing outside the library door .

You push the door open with your foot .
A person stood in front of the fire .
