Forty-seventh

Normal POV

"Thank you guys for coming." Suho said to the alphas. Obviously, he invited them in his castle. It's for a meeting about what's happening around lately.

"It's fine tho. The mates are excited to see each other." Chanyeol chuckled.

It has been 3 days since the Luhan versus witch incident.

"So how are you guys?" Chen asked.

"Tao's getting better with his ability, he's once an assassin so physical strength isn't a problem." Kris started.

"Kyungie can help me hunt now. I just taught him how to transform in wolf form and he's beautiful." Kai said happily.

"Lulu hyung's physical strength is what we are training for, it's amazing that he can control his ability in just a day. Maybe he's really a smart kid to control telekenesis." Sehun reported proudly.

"I haven't taught Baekkie how to transform as a wolf yet. He said he's still nervous of what he'll look like so I'll wait for him to be ready." Chanyeol plastered his derp smile on his face.

"Minnie's not yet done controlling his ability. I once slipped on an accidentally made ice floor and I was out cold for a day. But hey, my baozi got a strong arms." Chen said almost reminiscing that day where Xiumin took care of him the whole day.

"Good for all of you. Just keep it up." Suho smiled.

"How about you and Lay hyung? You look skinny, you ok?" Chanyeol asked worried.

"Is he draining your liquid too much?" Kai earned a smack on the head by Kris so he murmured, "I'm just kidding."

"Well... about Lay... our crystal isn't glowing at all." Suho pursed his lips.

"WHAT?!" The five alphas reacted.

"I don't know what's happening but it's not glowing even when we did that. Also, Lay haven't gotten his power yet." Suho said.

"This is a big problem." Chen said.

"So that's why you're skinny. You're..."

"Dying. Yes, I am because the crystal is my life, if its light runs out then I'm gone and won't be reborn." Suho continued Kris' words then they heard something crashed from behind.

There they saw a shocked Lay, tearing while looking at Suho. The alphas' jaws dropped and mentally facepalmed because they ignored their instincts that someone's coming.

"L-Lay." Suho stuttered. He reached out to Lay but he run away. Suho sighed in frustration.

"Go after him hyung." Sehun said.

Suho nodded and followed Lay. He asked the mates who are chatting on the living room where he is but they just answered, "Didn't he just brought you some drinks?" Suho just nodded and sighed. After a few minutes, finally, he found Lay on their balcony, crying silently.

"Lay." He called out that made the latter flinched and wiped his tears away harshly.

"Y-yeah?" The taller managed to say but his voice still broken.

"I'm sorry." Suho said and back hugged his mate.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Lay asked.

"Because I'm afraid... I'm afraid to see you like this." Suho said.

"Why is it like this? I'm so useless. Am I gonna lose a love one again? Am I gonna lose you too?" Lay faced Suho and his face was so wet with tears.

"I'm sorry." Suho just said.

"Can you explain everything? Maybe... maybe we can find something out?" Lay hoped but Suho just sighed and nodded. Even he can't find a way.

"You see... mates that came from other planets will get their powers if they became one with their alpha." Suho started but Lay tilted his head on the side. "Became one as in when they make love." Suho said but Lay frowned.

"But we already did that. Why am I... still powerless?" Lay said sadly.

"Yes, we did. As we explained last time, every make love session makes the crystal in our pack glow but ours didn't for some unknown reason. That crystal is the alphas and its mate's lifeline but since you didn't have the powers yet, it's only my lifeline. Since it's not glowing... it means my lifeline is lessened and lessened everyday." Suho stopped at that because he knows he'll cry too. Lay's crying even more now. He's getting hurt more and more every word Suho releases.

"Am I really the one for you? What if you just get it wrong? What if I'm not really your mate? See? I'm useless." Lay said between his sobs and started hitting himself.

"Stop. Stop that Lay. You're hurting yourself. Stop!"

"But you're hurting too." Lay whisphered. Suho hugged him.

"Lay... you're my mate. I'm definitely not wrong. YOU are the one for ME. There's just a problem. You're not useless because you and your love are the reasons why I still keep hanging on." Suho hugged Lay tighter.

"Suho I don't want to lose you too. I don't want you to leave me too. I'd rather die with you. I love you." Lay hugged back tighter like Suho will burst away like a bubble when he loosened his grip even just a little.

"Shh. It will be fine jagi. I won't leave you. I love you." Then they shared a sweet kiss.

"Let's go to eomma for an answer, nae?" Suho wiped Lay's tears after and the latter nodded.

"I don't know what's happening too son. It's the first time this has happened. I'm sorry. I'll ask some spirits for an answer but for now you have to stay alive and safe." Mikun gave them this anwer. "I really hate those Matos for ruining the river of hope. Now, I can't find answers! I can't afford to lose another being in this planet again." Mikun started to cry. Her mother instinct is there again.

Lay cried again and the mates comforted him. Suho just closed his eyes, slowly accepting the truth but still worries about Lay. He really hates seeing the said boy sad and crying. It kills him.

"Is he gonna stay longer? How many months? I wanna stay longer with him." Lay asked as he's now just stiffling some sobs.

"If you stay here in EXO then it will be faster for his time because this is his nature." Mikun sighed.

"Then you mean..."

"Yes, go back to Planet Earth for a longer time together."
