I sighed as I waited lonely on the bench. I guess it was my fault for showing up early in the first place, he did say 10am and not 9. I was just so excited, especially after he smiled at me that way. I felt the heat rush into my cheeks again as usual, it did this every time he crossed my mind.
I hid my face with my hands out of both embarrassment and exasperation.
I felt a soft tugging at my hands as an all too familiar voice resounded "Tsu, you're so cute. But please stop hiding your face, let me see your beauty." I felt my face grow hotter and peeked out from behind my hands, "happy?" he chuckled softly, and no" he pulled my hands down completely and knelt down in front of me
"I see I wasn't the only one who thought to come early, though I'm sad to say you beat me. I hope you weren't waiting for too long" he smiled at me
"of course not!" I responded quickly, I'd only been there for a few minutes, though I'd already started to gather goose bumps due to the cold.
He must have caught me staring at my bared legs and grabbed my hands
"your rather cold, ne" I giggled softly at his Japanese accent. He glared at me a little then lifted my hands to his lips.
"Let me help you warm up" he breathed gently on my hands slowly warming my whole self.
"I'm sorry, I forgot you're not used to the cold of Japan just yet" he said, looking irritated with himself.
"I-it's fine!!! It's my own fault, I should have brought a jacket" I laughed nervously and ruffled the back of my hair as I usually do when I'm nervous or embarrassed. "I don't get how you do it in just a T-shirt Vhynn"
He laughed at my remark and sat beside me "it's just because I'm awesome" he said jokingly, I punched him in the shoulder teasingly
He turned and looked at me seriously "Actually, I figured you'd forget your jacket so I brought one of mine" he handed me a soft purple and white striped jacket, it smelled just like him, like summer. "Thanks so much, you're so sweet"
He laughed a little "Anything for you beautiful" he winked at me playfully and helped me put on his jacket. "It's a little big and hangs off your hands a lil but it's cute on you"
I smiled and waved my arms around happily. I hugged him tightly and leaned against his chest. "Thanks handsome" I laughed playfully, but he looked down at me seriously.
"Tsubaki" I began to worry, he hardly ever calls me by my full name. He looked deeply into my eyes and I felt my knees weakening as he drew his face nearer to me, his forehead touching mine.
"I knew it, your foreheads hot. You're getting sick, let's get you inside" he took my had in his, I felt the heat slowly start rising to my face. He was so close to...
I sighed to myself, I guess it was too much to expect. I mean I'm just his best friend, he probably doesn't even see me the way I see him. I looked up from the ever so interesting ground to find him staring straight at me.
"You must really be sick, even your cheeks are turning red" he said looking concerned, I quickly turned around and let him lead me into a museum.
He walked around for a bit but tugged our still clasped hands and led me down a hall. The hall was bare of anything but instead made purely of glass as we walked through. I stared in marvel as butterflies flew all around the glass area until it lead into can open room.
Inside flowers bloomed and water ran in a little river along the side. Butterflies flied around freely enjoying the open space.
I looked at Vhynn and as though answering my thoughts he said, "This is the museum's botanical garden. I came here once before and I thought you'd enjoy it."
