Tsubaki And Vhynn's Story

Chapter 20

"Iruishi? Tsubaki Iruishi?" The nurse called, butchering my name, making it sound as though it was some kind of cheap sushi you get at the street corner... Nurses, as always.

I sighed, raising my hand in the air. Vhynn's hand flew up as well, entangling his fingers in mine.

"This way please" the nurse purred, fixing her bra beneath her uniform in an attempt to flirt with him.

Did she not see him wrap his fingers in mine, or the ring on my finger. Some people...

I sighed allowed, as Vhynn simply gripped my hand tighter. The nurse led us into a brightly lit room with a hospital cot and a rather large machine, Vhynn helped me up onto the cot and I lay on there, waiting for the doctor.

We sat in silence, comfortable silence, the kind that makes you sleepy when suddenly Vhynn spoke up, "Are you excited?"

I chuckled softly, turning onto my side to face him, "I'm more nervous than anything else"

"Well, you have every right to feeling that way" the doctor said as he shut the door behind him, "now lets get a look at that baby"

I lay back down on my back as he slowly lifted my shirt up to expose my lower abdomen.

"Eek!" I let out a small shriek as he squeezed some cool gel.

"Oh ya, the gel's cold" he chuckled, I was not amused, Vhynn found it funny though as let out a laugh.

I shook my head at him, glaring before the doctor turned the machine in front of us on, "this is an Ultra Sound, and this" he said pointing to a little thing on the screen, "is your baby"

I stared in amazement as he zoomed in on the jelly bean like figure revealing what looked to be a head and arms.

"Wow"

"He's.... Beautiful"
