Sturniolo Triplets Oneshots (mainly Matt)

Matt can't say goodbye

Justin is leaving for college and Matt has a hard time letting him go

(This takes place when the triplets were in high school)

Third POV

Justin loves his younger brothers. He loved being one of their role models growing up. He was basically a third parent to them. Even though they all had a great bond with each other, Justin always had a different a special bond with Matt. He was a lot closer to him too. 

Justin would always baby Matt way more than his other brothers. And Matt would always go to Justin when he needs any sort of help. Matt would basically bring him along with everything he did, and Justin loved that. Even when they all started maturing overtime, Matt still behaved the same way around him. He always felt safe whenever he was around his oldest brother. 

Even when the triplets reached high school, their attachment never left. Everyone in their family adored their bond but they knew it wouldn't last forever since Justin was starting to have big plans ahead of him.

"You're what?!" Matt yelled in shock

"I'm sorry Matt"

It was summer and the entire family was eating dinner together. They just revealed to Matt that Justin was moving to the opposite side of the country for college. Everyone else already knew about this months ago but didn't want to tell Matt right away, knowing that the news would break him down, and it surely did. 

"When??" Matt asked

"Next month" Justin said

Matt could feel the sadness build up in him. Next month? He only had a month to spend with him?

"I-I don't get it... why? Why cant you just stay here?" Matt could feel tears forming in his eyes

"I really wish I could but.. it's my dream college. Yk that matty" 

Matt didn't know that. He never once even acknowledged that his oldest brother would even be going to college because he just never wanted to think about it. 

The tears started falling down his cheeks as he let out silent sobs. Don't get him wrong, he was happy that his brother made it to his dream college but it was hard to ignore the fact that he wouldn't be able to see him for an entire school year. 

"Oh matty, please don't cry" Justin got up from his seat and headed to Matt. He leaned over to hug the crying boy. 

Matt hugged him back and continued crying into his shoulder. Nick, Chris, and the parents watched them with a sad look. They knew this would be the most difficult part. It reminded them of all the times Justin had to leave for a couple days due to camping. It always ended up with matt clinging on to him, crying that he doesn't want him to go. But this time, it was worse since Justin was moving far far away. 

"W-why didn't you g-guys tell me b-before" Matt sobbed

"We're sorry dear. We didn't know how upset you'd be" Marylou said

They wrapped up dinner quickly after that and Matt followed Justin into his room. He was still fully processing the news. Justin tried cheering him up but nothing worked. Matt spent the rest of the night in Justin's arms. Since he only had a month left with him, might as well make the most out of it. 

For the rest of the month, Matt spent every single moment with Justin. He ate with him, he watched movies with him, he walked Trevor with him, he cuddled with him, and everything. He basically abandoned his own room for Justins. His brothers and parents obviously noticed and thought it was sweet, but they knew it would only make the separation harder for him. But who was gonna tell him that he couldn't hang out with his brother? That'll only make him more sad.
