Chris and Matt

I heard the front door open and someone slamming stuff on the counter. I then heard footsteps going downstairs. I immediately knew it was Chris since his room was the only one downstairs. He's been gone for a few hours and he never told me why. I've just been waiting for him to come back since I wanted to show him a really funny video I found. 

I ran out my room and headed downstairs. Without knocking, I opened the door to see Chris on the bed... crying? He looks super upset and sad. I've never seen him cry like this before... ever. The moment he noticed me, he quickly wiped his tears away and sat up.

"Jesus Matt, at least knock next time" he said while letting out a sniffle

"Chris...? Why are you crying?" I asked genuinely worried

"What are you talking about, I wasn't crying" Chris said

I knew he was lying. Chris never liked showing his sad emotions and always had a tendency to hide them. 

I walked towards the bed and sat down next to him. I laid my head on his shoulder.

"Did anything happen when you were gone?" I asked

I felt a tear land on my forehead. Chris broke down immediately. I lifted my head and pulled him into a hug, as he quickly hugged me back. I rested my chin on his shoulder as I soothed him. He continued to sob.

"Z-Zoey rejected m-me" he cried

Chris has been going out with Zoey for the past few weeks and it was obvious he had a crush on her. Chris was going to ask her to be his girlfriend tonight but he got brutally rejected and blocked on everything by her. (Zoey isn't based on anyone irl she is a fake character I made!!)

"Zoey?? But I thought she liked you" I said 

"That's what I thought too!"

I hugged him tighter. My brother usually never cries so I didn't really know how to handle this. I was never the best comforter but since Chris has always been there for me when I cried, I have to return the favor. I continued to soothe him until he was finally calm again.

"It's okay Chris. You can do better! It was her loss" I said, "you will meet someone better in the future, I promise"

Chris smiled. He pulled out of the hug and pulled Matt to his chest.

"Thank you for dealing with me matty" Chris laughed, "I love you"

"I love you too" Matt smiled as he fell into the embrace. 

They spent the rest of the night together cuddling <3

Nick and Matt

"YOU DONT UNDERSTAND CHRIS" Nick yelled

"Calm the fuck down you loud mouth! What's so hard about editing a video huh?? You did it before" Chris said

"BECAUSE I CANTT!! I'm fucking sleep deprived and I haven't been able to get myself together cuz of all the work I have to do!!"

"No one is giving you any work dude! The only work you need to do is editing that fucking video that you had a week to do!"

"NO OTHER WORK?!?! IM LITERALLY THE ONE PAYING OUR TAXES, EDITING OUR VIDEOS, AND WORKING ON OUR PODCAST THAT YOU GUYS DO NOTHING FOR" Nick yelled starting to get even more angry, "DONT TELL ME I HAVE NO WORK WHEN I LITERALLY WORK 10x MORE THAN YOU"

"Idgaf Nick. Just go edit the fucking video already before it's too late" Chris shoed him away

Nick shoved the middle finger at him and stormed off to his room. 

"Can you fucking believe him" Chris laughed, "he's crazy, right matty?"

I didn't say anything cuz I didn't wanna get involved. I was just sitting on the kitchen counter while that all happened. Chris and Nick argue all the time but this one was more surreal. I could tell Nick was genuinely upset. Even tho Chris was probably right that Nick should've started editing the video, I couldn't just let my older brother hold all the responsibilities. 

I jumped off and started heading up to Nicks room. I knocked on his door.

"Get away" Nick said from inside

"It's me, Matt" I said

A couple seconds later, Nick opened the door and let me inside. I sat on the edge of his bed while he sat on his desk chair, editing the video. I didn't really know what to say so it was just silent.

"Chris is so annoying..." Nick mumbled

"I don't think he was trying to be. I mean... the video is kinda supposed to be out tomorrow..." I said

"Are you trying to make me feel better or worse" Nick said, spinning his chair around to face me

"Sorry..." I looked down

"No it's okay... I'm sorry I shouldn't be getting mad at you. You did nothing wrong, idk what's wrong with me" Nick covered his face with his hands

I stood up and walked over to him. I took his hand into my own.

"Do you wanna talk about it..?" I asked

Usually when I have heavy anxiety, I talk to someone about it, mainly my brothers. So I thought this would help.

"Uhh... yeah sure" Nick said

I led him to his bed and sat down next to him, our backs both against the bed board. It took a while but Nick started explaining to me everything he's been going through. It was a lot and I was feeling really bad for him. I gave him some advice that helped me through some similar times like that. By the time he let everything out his chest, he was in a way better mood. He pulled me into a hug.

"Thank you Matt" he kissed my forehead, "I just needed someone to talk to"

I smiled, "of course, anytime"

After a few minutes, we pulled away. I helped Nick edit the video and he was very grateful. In the morning, I made Nick and Chris apologize to each other <3
