What does that mean to you?
What does and doesn't imply?
I love you means to me
That you'll love me on my worst days
You'll love me when when I can't give
A hundred percent
You'll cater to my very broken
And shattered heart by repairing it
With lovable affirmations
And teaching me to pour it
Into myself
Not rushing me to heal or
Get better because you'll know
I'll get there sooner or later
Sooner than later
You love me so much
You pray for me
You pray for my family
I'm written in your journal
Getting loved on
You give me space because
You know I need it to have
A better mind space
With my overthinking, you reassure me
That everything is going to work out
And God hears me, I just need
To learn patience
You offer to help me along the way
If I want it
You make me laugh because
You know when I do, so does
My heart and soul
And you love my smile but
You keep the thought
In your head
This may sound cliche
But you love me for me
Every fiber and bone in my body
Has a place in your heart
The very hairs on my skin and head
Lay comfortably on top
Of your chest
Safely and cherished
