Another day passes by and this time, I went with Neteyam to attend a raid.

"We've only got three minutes. Come on, hurry up people," Neteyam says in the two-way radio.

"Let's go! Everyone needs to be out of sight now!" Lo'ak adds, speaking in the radio as well.

The mission was successfully executed and like the two brothers had just said, we only have a few minutes left before the sky people's backup arrives. Lo'ak had to come with us too since today's raid was much more difficult and more people needed to lead.

Another week had passed and saying that what they're doing—the humans still not disconnecting me from my Avatar—is perceptible would be a lie. But anyway, we have more things to worry about. We'll just have to cross the bridge when we get there.

A few more minutes flew and we opted on observing the area and staying a little longer, hidden. We'll be surprising the sky people's backup. To do so, we stayed unlike what they probably initially thought which is that we'll be leaving, and when they're caught off guard, we'll begin the ambush.

"What's taking them so long?" I ask Neteyam from beside me as we covered from behind a tree, the other warriors hiding as well right by us.

"What's taking them so long?" Neteyam reiterates my question through the two-way radio, the other warriors designated in aerial watch out at the end of the other line.

He waits but a good second passes and no one responded.

"I need an answer, officer. Where are they?" Neteyam asks again.

Silence lingers once more and Neteyam opens his mouth to talk again, although he gets cut off by the sudden sound of explosion from the distance and screaming through the radio.

"Help- fuck!" The person from the other end speaks, his tone desperate and anguished, while the background noise reveals more yelling from other people.

"What's happening? Respond!" Neteyam demands in distress.

"T-They know our plan! All human soldiers were sent to the camp instead! They're attacking the helpless Na'vi's and keeping them hostage, taking advantage of your absence here, sir! Help us, pleas-" The Na'vi soldier at the other end said but the line suddenly gets cut off, leaving us all who heard it alarmed.

"Shit. Kiri and Tuk are there," I say in worry.

Neteyam and Lo'ak immediately stands up.

"We're going back to the camp. Now!" The older brother commands and we all left with our ikran's at once.

We reach the camp as soon as we could and the sight that came before us was utterly despicable. The camp was burnt to straight out ashes, some familiar Na'vi warriors dead while some very brutally injured. Luckily, it seems that the medics were left untouched. However just like the other Na'vi's that were still alive, they were kept as hostages, tied up; four of them actually being Kiri and Tuk, and surprisingly and terrifyingly enough, Jake and Neytiri.

What the hell happened here that even the parents were defeated? What kind of person can even lead the humans to the point that this happens?

"What are we doing, bro?" Lo'ak asks Neteyam as we were reaching the place.

"There are too many humans at the location. We can't go in there hastefully." Neteyam replies. "You and the others stay here. I'll go there to negotiate."

"A-Alright," Lo'ak nods hesitantly.

Lo'ak wants to go with Neteyam, I see that. But he knows that if something happens, someone needs to stay back to lead the remaining people.

"I'm coming with you," I tell Neteyam and he furrows his brows at this.

"No, you're—" He utters but stops, seeing me looking as determined as ever. "Fine,"

The other Na'vi's with us stayed back and landed somewhere a bit farther as Neteyam and I landed at the camp, the people at the area seeing us and a glimpse of hope being shone in their eyes.

We get off our ikran's and lightly raise our hands up to  show that we mean no harm.

The human soldiers in the area point their guns at us.

Suddenly, in the midst of the dangerous quietness, someone clapped from behind the humans.

"Job well done, Y/N" A familiar voice speaks and finally reveals himself to us, moving in front of the humans and facing us.

Oh my fucking god

"god forbid I'm going to fucking kill you one day" I tell him.

"That's not a good way to greet your boyfriend, ain't it?" He asks.

"What's he talking about?" Neteyam calmly asks me.

"H-He's the guy you overheard the other day. You know. Zade. My ex." I shamefully say and Neteyam only lightly nods at this.

"Well, Neteyam my man, we only really need one thing and we'll be releasing everyone here," Zade says. "Her." He adds, looking at me with a mischievous smile.

"I'm not believing that bullshit. You could've easily unlinked her body without having to go this far," Neteyam replies.

"Then that costly and exquisite Avatar body she's connected to will be left here. We need it back,"

"You have so many more made. You're risking the success of what you had just did for one body? That doesn't make any sense,"

"But I'm not asking you. I'm asking her," Zade says, looking at me again.

"Y/N. There's so much more options we can do to get out of this. Don't do it," Neteyam tells me as he took both my hands and held it with his own, his yellow orbs pleading.

"It is sketchy, and probably unreliable. But it's too good of a deal to let pass," I say before biting my lip, not wanting to do so either but knowing that I have to.

"Please let's—" Neteyam speaks but he stops when I abruptly moved back from him and took my gun and pointed it at my head.

"Move and I'm pulling the trigger," I warn him as I kept myself from unleashing my tears.

I gulp as I kept the weapon pointed at my head while walking towards my horrendous ex, Neteyam not having any choice but to stand as I slowly left him.

"Smart gir-" Zade was about to say but I now pointed my gun at his head, the other humans pointing theirs at me from their commander being threatened.

"I know that you absolutely love living. If you want to keep your miserable fucking life, walk us silently to the stupid ship. Touch any more of my people and your brain gets blown to pieces,"

Zade remains unphased and he signaled his hand to his fellow humans that we're going. "Your people, huh? You must have gone nuts," He says as we cautiously walked to the ship, my gun still on his head.

"Another word and you're dead," I say to which he finally shut his mouth to, his teeth clenched.

I take one final glance at Neteyam who has now rejoined with his family.

My people.

Right.

Never thought that the day would finally come but it did, in the most heart wrenching way possible too.
