CH26 Redemption (smut)

The war is over.

I never thought that the day would come, but in the fullness of time, at last, it has ended.

A month has passed since the day I finally killed Zade. The bullet wound I got had also healed. Most of all, it's been a week since my consciousness had been permanently fused into my avatar body. I had been reborn into a Na'vi at the Tree of Souls via a ritual performed by the Na'vi's. It's risky and requires so much trust from the people in Pandora, but somehow, they believed in me during my time spent with them before I was captured. The trust was probably built when I was fighting with them and teaching the soldiers in using firearms. In short, I can now be called a Na'vi and actually live like one. 

It makes my heart full to see that they've finally accepted me here. But besides that, my relationship with the Sully family had also considerably improved as I had gained their trust as well. However, I cannot really say that the case is the same with my mate. For the past month, Neteyam's attention had been divided. As the future clan leader, or in Na'vi terms, Olo'eyktan, Neteyam had been busy tending to the wounded and traumatized Na'vi's and is coordinating with the humans like Doctora Jane and Vi in changing the systems of the resources development administration.

Going back to the last night of the war, after Doctora Jane revealed the solution to saving Earth, Vi had given up on trying to kill me, or any other Na'vi, as a matter of fact. Not long after that, Lo'ak, together with a hefty number of other warriors, fought with the humans to which the Na'vi fortunately won. Quaritch died, fucking finally. Now, Vi had replaced Quaritch and now stands as the security operations commander and chief of security.

Currently, I was playing around with Tuk as I had practically nothing better to do. Everyone else my age was occupied with adult and post-war things while I'm, uh, basically unemployed.

We were walking through the Pandora forest—sometimes inspecting plants, sometimes playing with animals, and sometimes running away from them.

"Y/N! Y/N! Look! It's Neteyam!" Tuk said as she shook my shoulder. I was engrossed in a binary sunshine that Tuk had to touch me to gain my attention.

I avert my attention to the young girl but before I could even find Neteyam, Tuk was already pulling my arm to where her brother is.

I didn't notice that Tuk and I wandered off to hell's gate which was not that hell-ish anymore after the war. Perhaps they should call it heaven's gate. To make it less scary, you know.

I feel Tuk's hand leave mine as she ran to Neteyam who was talking to Vi. It's honestly funny to see Vi and Neteyam together since back then, Neteyam had a gun pointed at Vi's head and had nearly killed her. But now, here they are casually conversing with one another.

I also observed that as Neteyam and Vi talked, Neteyam was crouching so that he and Vi can discourse better. Atleast I can say that I still haven't gotten used to the height difference between Na'vi's and humans.

Tuk called Neteyam to which the brother immediately turned his head with a wide smile. Both of them shared a hug and after they broke it, Neteyam took notice of my presence.

I bend over and gave him a short peck on the lips that Neteyam returned with a grin.

"What are you two doing here?" Neteyam asked as I gave Vi a light pat on the back. After all, she'll probably fly off if I gave her a strong pat.
