I thought we were just friends?

Part 2

After I get up I wobble to my closet and grab a change of clothes. I get in the bathroom, get changed and come back out. "Ready Sammy?" Jake asks "Yea" I mumble walking to my door "Who's driving?" Corey asks "I can" Colby sighs walking downstairs "What are we eating?" I ask "I-hop" Jake sighs slightly. After we get in the car and after a few minutes of driving Colby places his hand on my thigh rubbing it with his thumb I look out the window to hide my smile, Colby moves his hand to turn making me frown a little, after he turns he grabs my hand interlocking our fingers making me blush softly. "What are you guys doing?" Corey asks "Nothing." Colby moves his hand from mine, I frown at the loss of his touch. "Y-Yea nothing." I mumble "What's going on?" Jake looks up "They we-" "We were doing nothing!" I shout cutting him off "Okay god damn." He mumbles looking back down at his phone. After it gets quiet we pull up to I-hop,we get out and go inside and get seated. "Hey Sam!" Zach runs up "Hey!" I squeak getting up and hugging him "Didn't expect to see you here man" He pats my shoulder "With my friends" I smile "Oh I'm with Katrina" he smiles back "See you Wednesday Zach!" I wave sitting back down "See ya Sam!" He waves back walking away. "What do you want to drink?" The waiter asks "I'll take a Coke" I smile a little "A water please" Jake leans forward "Coke as well" Colby sighs lightly "Fanta please" Corey adds "Okay I'll be back with those quickly" the waiter smiles and walks away. After we get our drinks and food we eat pay and leave.

Couple days later-

It's finally the day of dance I'm so scared to see Colby tonight I think to myself scanning through my clothes. "Wow this is cute but he may not like it." I mumble to myself "Wait I have a purple skirt he loves the color purple!" I squeal snatching it. After I get dressed I put my shoes on and quickly fix my hair. I run downstairs hearing his car honk I quickly run out the door and get in his car. "Hey" he smiles looking at me "Hey!" I smile back closing my legs "Ready?" He asks "Yep!" I agree. After a while we finally arrive at the dance, "Sammy!" Jake shouts coming up to Colby's car "Jake!" I shout back running up to him "Cute." He whispers in my ear "T-Thank you" I whisper back "Let's go guys we can't be late!" Corey huffs. After we get inside, we get drinks and dance around, talk, when I find Zach "Hey Sam!" He greets me "Hey Zach!" I wave "I uh l-like your s-skirt." He smiles getting a little red "Why thank you!" I laugh a little "I-I'm gonna go w-wash my f-face." He starts to walk off "Can I come with you?" I ask "Oh s-sure" he smiles awkwardly. After me Zach get to the bathroom he puts water on his face as I sit on the edge of one of the sinks. "S-Sam do y-you know a l-lot about Katrina?" He asks "Well she kind,caring,very smart." I reply "Thank y-you but what a-about you?" He asks again "What?" I stand up getting off the sink "What are you ta-" He quickly cuts me off by smashing his lips on mine,making me blush softly,pushing me up against the sink. He places his hands on my hips,squeezing every now and again "I-I'm sorry" he pushes himself away "I gotta g-get to my d-date." I brush off my clothes leaving the bathroom quickly. "Hey I was gonna come check up on you, are you okay?" Colby asks "Y-Yea Zach wanted t-to know m-more about K-Katrina." I mumble "Well it's about time for the slow dance." He rubs his neck awkwardly "It's okay w-we can dance." I smile. After talking some more the DJ announces that it's time for the slow dance, Colby softly places his hands on my hips as I place mine on his shoulders, as we sway side to side he whispers "I-I like your s-skirt." "Thank y-you." I whisper. After a few more minutes the slow music stops and the regular music starts and everyone continues to dance like before. "I l-love the p-purple." Colby's whispers before dancing again "T-Thank you a-again." I whisper.Me and Colby talk for a second when Zach comes over "I'm really sorry." He looks down at his feet "Zach, I said it's okay!" I exclaim "Really?" He looks up a little "Yes Zach." I sigh "I just had to make sure" he walks away "What happened?" Colby asks "Just a little problem." I give a slight smile. A hour later the dance is ending and everyone is going home "Still my ride?" I ask "Of course." Colby smiles at me and Colby get in the car and he drives me home.
