Happy New Year

It's the last day of the year. Me and Marilyn have been going on dates, explored the outdoors and had so much fun.

I wake up beside her, she's already awake. "So there's a New Years' fair tonight at the nearest town. There's going to be fireworks too, should we go?" Marilyn asks me. "Yes!!!" I reply and kiss her.

—Another time skip—
It's 5:43pm and we're ready to go. We are wearing special outfits, for the special occasion. Mari has a brown dress with gold details and a black trench coat, paired with high heels. Her hair is down and she has her signature makeup look, with the red lipstick of course.

I'm wearing a light blue, little oversized sweater and a black mini skirt with tights and black knee-length boots. I also have the necklace and bracelet Mari gave me. I've been wearing them non-stop, I love them so much! I have a party makeup look, kind of like the one I wore at the Rave'n.

We grab our purses and leave. We first go to the store to grab some snacks for the night and some champagne. Then we leave for the restaurant.

"We should get going, it's already 11:03pm" I say and we leave. The time flied at dinner. We drive for about 20 minutes to the place where the fireworks are at. The place is already packed with hundreds of people. The time shows it's 11:50pm. "Only 10 minutes left of this year. I'm glad to end this year and start the next one with you." Marilyn says to me.
"Me too, Mari."

"Fifteen, fourteen, thirteen.." everyone starts counting. The year is just about to end.

"Be my New Years' kiss ok?" I ask her and she nods and smiles.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven..." I grab Mari's hand because I'm excited.

"Six, five, four, three, two, one! Happy New Year!!!" Everyone shouts and as we've said that, I pull Marilyn into a kiss. We kiss passionately and after almost a minute, we pull away.

"Happy New Year baby" Marilyn says to me and a happy tear runs down her face. I wipe it with my thumb and say "Happy New Year Mari".

—Time skip—
It's Sunday, the 10th of January. Me and Mari are driving back to Nevermore today. The classes start on Tuesday, but we thought it would be nice to rest for a few days before school begins. "Do you have everything?" Marilyn asks me. "Yeah, I think I do.. What about you?" I ask her the same question.
"Yes, I do. Shall we?"
I grab my purse and take one last look at the foyer before leaving the house.

We've been driving for several hours now.
"About 15 minutes and we're in Jericho. Wanna stop at Weathervane?" She asks.
"Yeah, sure." I say, looking out the window. For the last half an hour, I've been thinking about me and Marilyn. How things are going to be from now on since we're going back to Nevermore. I'm sad to think that things might go back to the way they were before the holidays. The sneaking around, not seeing each other enough...

We arrive at Weathervane and go inside. Marilyn goes to order for us while I go sit at a booth. I look out the window, to the town center and zone out for what feels like a long time. "Y/N." I hear a voice from the distance.

"Hey, Y/N! Are you okay? Please, Y/N answer me!"

I come back to reality and see Marilyn sitting next to me with a worried look on her face.
"What's going on?" She asks in a concerned tone. "I-it's just that.." I start stuttering. "Tell me. I'm here okay?"

"Now that we're going back to Nevermore, things will go back to the way they were before. I won't get to see you often anymore and when I do, it'll just be sneaking around.." I tell her and look under the table instead of her eyes. "Y/N, it's not going to be the same, okay? I promise you. You can come to my room every night if you want to. And we should go on a date every weekend! Does that sound ok?" She gets the idea and suggests it to me.

"Yeah, it does sound okay." I tell her. "Why don't you come to my room tonight? After unpacking and all that? You could even leave some of your stuff in my room if you wanted to." I nod and tell her that I will be there.

We finish our coffees and talk about everything.
