喧嘩
"You can go now Juuzou I'll be alright," I said to the boy who stood beside me. Both of us were standing at the front door of Anteiku, the moon shining through the trees behind us.
"Goodbye Emi-chan!" Juuzou said with a huge grin on his face then ran off.
"Bye!" I yelled after him.
I watched as Juuzou dissapeared around a corner then I took a deep breath in to calm my nerves. Once I was ready I slowly opened the door and walked up the stairs to the cafe. My hands were shaking as I knocked gently on the door or the cafe.
I couldn't hear anything so I reached out my hand to knock once more when the door suddenly burst open revealing a rather pissed dark blue haired woman. She quickly grabbed me by the collar and pushed me against the wall, her kakugan eyes showing.
"WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN! Do you know how worried we all were when you just dissapeared with that CCG investigator and didn't return!" She screamed in my face.
"I'm sorry..,"
"Sorry, YOU'RE SORRY!! Do you realise that you were gone for two day. Two whole days without even getting a word from you. For all we know you could have been ratting us out to the CCG, or even worse that kid could have killed you right on the spot and we never would have known!"
"Juuzou would never hurt me!" I yelled back.
"How would you know, you just met him!" She snarled.
"Well maybe unlike you I'm not a ghoul so he has no reason to harm me," I argued back.
Touka gritted her teeth and dropped me to the floor.
"If you trust him so much then why don't you go back to him, go be with your own kind of people. It's not like you're needed here anyways,"
My eyes started to become blurry as my eyes filled with tears and soon a few tears began slowly dripping down my cheeks.
"Fine, atleast he will treat me better than you!" I cried as I ran out of the building and down the street. I didn't care where I was going but I needed to get out of there.
I kept on running, turning left and right till I ran out of breath. I leaned my back against a brick wall trying to regain my breaths. Once my breathing returned to normal I looked around me noticing that I was in an unfamiliar alley.
"I'll just retrace my steps back to the main road," I mumbled to myself as I walked out of the alley.
"Where do you think you're going?!" A male voice said from behind when a sudden kick sent me flying towards a wall.
I widdened my eyes in horror as I saw a ghoul approach me with a huge grin on his face.
"And here I thought that I wouldn't be eating tonight," He laughed like a manic.
I quickly stood up and tried to run away but the ghoul pierced my leg with his kagune causing me to fall flat on my chest as I cried out in agony from the stab wound.
"P-please leave me alone," I begged as I tried to crawl away to no avail.
I could hear him laughing behind me as he scrapped his koukaku kagune off the ground. It emitted a high pitched ringing sound
"You wouldn't mind if I took a little bite out of you, would you,"
The male ghoul then picked me up and sniffed the area around my neck.
"You smell magnificent!" He squealed before sinking his teeth into my shoulder.
I screamed loudly in pain as I could feel my flesh getting ripped away from my body.
"Let go of me," I cried as I shoved him hard but he wouldn't budge.
"I SAID LET GO!" I screamed and the ghoul suddently went flying hard towards the opposite wall. Landing onto the ground with a loud grunt.
I could fell a strange sensation wash over me but I decided to ignored it for the time being.
The ghoul looked at me with fear in his eyes as I approached him with a dark aura surrounding me.
"You should really listen when a lady wants you to stop," I snarled.
I could feel something coming out of my back as I quickly stabbed him several times in the abdomen until there was too much damage for him to regenerate.
I collapsed onto my knees as I stared the the dead ghoul infront of me.
"I want to go home," I cried as I pulled myself into a small ball, clutching my necklace in my hand. "You useless thing. You're supposed to protect me, ". Once again I broke the necklace off as I let it drop to the ground not caring about it anymore.
"Oh my god, Emilce is that you," A familiar kind voice called as I heard two pairs of feet run up to me.
"Hey are you okay?" Kaneki asked as he kneeled down infront of me.
I lifted up my head and looked at Kaneki who let out a little gasp. He quickly turned to the person behind him. Touka looked back at him with a shocked look on her face but she quickly regained her composure.
"Kaneki take Emilce back to Anteiku while I clean up this mess here," she said calmly.
Kaneki nodded his head the lifted me up as I felt my consciousness slowly leave me.
"Kaneki what happened here stays between you and me, got it," Touka spoke with authority in her tone.
Those were the last words I heard before I blacked out once again.
