トレーニング

"So let's see it then," Yomo said.

I nodded my head then got myself prepared.

"You've got this Emilce, " I whispered to myself then concentrated on activating my kagune.

"Come onn," I said while squeezing my eyes shut and concentrated hard.

I felt as though energy was bursting all around my body as I opened my eyes with determination.

There was a silence then suddenly Yomo started laughing.

"What are you laughing at?!" I yelled at him while crossing my arms.

"You looked like you were trying to take a shit," he sniggered.

"Oh piss off I was trying to concentrate," I groaned. "Well did anything happen yet?"

Yomo gestured for me to turn around when I heard him sniggering again.

"Oh what is it THIS time!?" I growled.

"I've never seen such a small kagune. It's so small I could barelymake out what type it is. From what I can tell it looks like a rinkaku," Yomo answered.

"It surely can't be that small, you're just taking the piss," I said as I tried to turn my neck back enough to get a glimpse of it.

"...."

"I guess you are telling me the truth....,"

Yomo sighed then turned me back around to face him.

"At least it's something for now. You should be able to take it all out after training a few more times," he said and then lifted up my eyepatch. "You were also able to activate your kakugan this time so thats an achievement."

I glared at him and sighed. "Yah I guess so."

I looked my watch. "Welp I'm going to go now and thanks for today," I said.

I walked over to my hoodie that I had discarded onto the floor earlier and put it back on before waving Yomo goodbye and leaving.

I wasn't really in the mood to return back to Anteiku just yet so I decided to take a stroll around the area. Ever since I landed in this world I had never really taken the chance to look around the city.

I pulled out a pair if earphones that I had stolen from Touka. Since Touka wanted a way for us to communicate whenever I wasn't at anteiku she had given me her old phone which I was very grateful for.

I opened up spotify and then turned on my playlist. Unravel began to play into my ears as I hummed along with it.

Walking through the streets of Tokyo I looked up in amazement at how cool the city looked. It was better than I had even imagined. The street was quite empty as I was on a street with close to none retail shops.

I suddently felt myself crash into someone. As I apologised I then realised that it was Kaneki that I had run into and leaning onto him was an almost unconscious Nishiki. Both of them looked like they had just come out of a war.

"What happened to you two?" I asked as I helped Kaneki with Nishiki.

They both looked at eachother and didn't respond.

I sighed. "Where do you live Idiot?" I said to Nishiki.

...

Once we dropped Nishiki home we got a scolding from Kimi who thought that we were the ones that hurt Nishiki. Kimi calmed down once Kaneki told he what really happened and then we left to go get meat from anteiku.

"You've got to stop getting yourself into these situations Kaneki! " I scolded.

"It's fine, I'm not hurt or anything," he replied.

I gave Kaneki a hard wack on the back of the head.

"Idiot. You may not be hurt badly right now but in future you will be!" I yelled.

Kaneki rubbed the area where I hit him. "Don't worry, I'll try keep out of trouble alright."

"Good," I mumbled.

It took is a while until we reached anteiku. Kaneki walked over to the refrigerator to get some meat while I leaned against the counter.

A knock then caught both of our attention.

"I'll go check it out. You can just focus on unlocking the fridge," I said.

I slowly walked towards the door and opened it. Peering out the door I half expected someone to be out there but I was just met with silence.

"Hello?" I asked with no response.

With a sigh I began to close the door when a rosenlaying on the ground caught my attention. Once I saw it I knew exactly what it was. I couldn't just let Kaneki go ahead and get himself into more trouble again.

I crouched down to pick up the rose and letter to hide it but I was slightly too late.

"What's that?" Kaneki asked while leaning over my shoulder.

I quickly shoved the letter into my pocket.

"Its nothing. It's just ,uh-, a letter from a secret admirer, yah," I replied nervously.

Kaneki raised an eyebrow at me.

"Show me the letter," He said smirking.

I shook my head.

"Oh come on it can't be that embarrassing," he laughed while trying to shove his hand into my pocket.

"Piss off Kaneki," I said as I tried to stop kaneki from getting the note but Kaneki was faster than me. I watched as Kaneki's face changed from a look of amusement to a look of horror.

"Emi...,"

"Don't even think about it," I hissed at him while grabbing the piece of paper from him.

The main door suddenly burst open with Nishiki standing in the doorway.

"Where's Kimi?!" He growled.

I sighed while looking at the beat up Nishiki.

"What are you doing here idiot?!" I yelled at him.

"Kimi hasn't returned home in a while. Something happened to her. I just know it,"

I could hear slight fear in his tone. I looked back and forward between Kaneki and Nishiki unsure of what to do. On one hand I could pretend that i don't know anything but then Kimi would probably die, or I could just give Nishiki the note and just let things run how they were supposed too, though that would cause alot of people alot of pain. I could see Kaneki looking at with those pleading eyes. I could tell that he really wanted to help out.

I stayed quiet for a minute weighing my options before finally commimg to a decision.

"God dammit," I groaned.

I reached back into my pocket and handed Nishiki the note.

"That's where you are going to find your precious human," I grumbled.
