"....eight hundred thirty two.......eight hundred twenty five.......eight hundred eighteen....eight hundred and eleven....eight hundred and four..... seven hundred ninety seven....,"

"Will you just shut up!"

I lifted my head up and glared at Ayato. "Seven hundred ninety," I continued as Ayato punched the wall.

"For fuck sake, it's not like we're torturing you too," Ayato growled.

"How is this not torture. You keep trying to feed me human meat which you know I won't eat and all I can hear is the sound of Kaneki's screams constantly ringing in my ears. I don't even know what day it is anymore," I said in a dull tone.

"If you don't eat human meat that what do you even eat to sustain yourself?" Ayato asked ignoring everything else I said.

"I'm not a ghoul you know. I eat normal food like a normal person," I hissed at him.

"You say you're not a ghoul but then again, you're not a human so what exactally do you think you are? Because you can only be either a ghoul or human so which one are you?"

I stared at him in silents refusing to give him an answer. Kaneki's screams could be heard echoing off the walls of the room. I flinched at the noise.

"Just join Aogiri Tree it's not that hard. Join us and you can go save that friend of yours or whatever, Do whatever you want with Yamori, I don't care."

"I will never join Aogiri, only the scum of the earth join them," I spat. "Joining Aogiri would mean killing people, hundreds of them, and I want no part in that,"

Ayato stormed over to me and grabbed me by the collar. "I would kill you right now if Eto didn't want you alive. I personally don't want any worthless shits like you joining us, you'd just give us a bad name," he snarled at me.

"Seven hundred eighty three," I continued on as Ayato dropped me to the ground. "I fucking hate having to babysit you worthless shit," He groaned then left the room.

I picked myself up off of the ground and stood ontop of my bed. Above my bed close to the ceiling there was a small window with bars that looked into the room Kaneki was in. It was too high to look out of but I knew if I spoke loud enough Kaneki would be able to hear me.

"Kaneki!" I called out to him through the bars. "Emilce?" I heard a voice mumble.

"Just hold on Kaneki! I've got a plan on how to get us out of here! Just wait for me okay!"

I climbed off of my bed and walked to the door of my room. I had noticed earlier the Ayato forgot to lock it so it made my escape much easier.

I quietly opened the door just enough to fit my body out of and then shut it behind me. My heart was beating loudly in my chest and I could feel my body trembling. "Come on Emilce, you've got this," I reasured myself.

I walked myself into the unfamiliar hallway. Doors aligned one side while the other had windows all around. I walked in the shadows to avoid getting caught as I watched ghouls pass by me, hoping they wouldn't smell my scent. I continued to walk until I came across two ghoul wearing red cloaks with cleaning supplies in hand entering a room. Before the door shut behind them I rushed in just barely squeezing past in time.

Nothing could prepare me for the sight I saw infront of me. The amount of blood surrounding Kaneki made me want to vomit. You could clearly see where his fingers and toes had been cut off from.

"Kaneki," I gasped at tears welled in my eyes.

I ignored the other two ghouls in the room and rushed towards Kaneki and embrassed him in my arms.
