I skipped down the hall all the while I whistled a soft tune. Empty cells aligned the walls which were not so long ago filled with ghouls.

"I guess somebody got here before me," I sulked.

"Oh don't be such a child Emi."

"Shut the fuck up Kimh!" I groaned.

"Kimh?" She questioned.

"Ya, Kim with a h, K. I. M. H. Kid in my head."

"I'M NOT A KID!" She hissed back.

"Then what the fuck are you?! Otherkin? Do you identify yourself as a dog or cat, or something?" I teased.

"You're the child here!" She retorted angrily.

"Jeez don't be wagging your tail too much. It might fall off! And look if you're so narked about it then tell me your real name" I jeered.

Kimh rolled her eyes at me without responding and then disappeared again.

"Finally some peace," I cheered gratefully.

As I turned the corner I noticed Naki, Gagi and Guge fighting against two investigators. The investigators seemed to be struggling as I approached them slowly.

"Need some help?" I asked.

Naki looked back at me with an annoyed look on his face. "We don't need you," he said.

"Who said I was speaking to you?" I giggled.

I used my rinkaku to send Gagi and Guge flying far off in the distance, I then stood in a protective stance infront of the two investigator and shot my kokaku at Naki, piercing him several times. As Naki was regaining his stance I looked back at the two investigators and stared at the bite wound on Akira's leg.

"There's more ghouls heading this way, get her out of here!" I command.

Amon didn't waste even a second to pick up Akira who offered to stay behind to which he whole heartily refused.

Before they left Amon turned to me.

"Why would you help us? Aren't you on their side,"

I smiled to myself without looking back at him.

"I made a promise to her father on his dying breath that I would protect his daughter and I plan on sticking to my word,"

If looks could kill I would be six feet under from the hard pain filled glare I recieved from Amon.

"You're the one who killed him....?" He breathed.

My head tilted to the ground as I turned away unable to look him in the eye.

"I know you wish to kill me right now but it would be better to do so at a later date," I said calmly. "Your priority right now should be to get her to safety."

Amon wanted to protest but he looked down at Akira in his arms and made his decision. "The next time we meet I will kill you sugar skull!" He screamed at me before running off to safety with Akira. A horde of ghouls were quick to follow them.

"Thats what everybody says," I rolled my eyes.

"I see you've changed sides," Naki chuckled.

I looked at him with a grin on my face. "Not quite, I'm just keeping my prey alive for later!" My voice echoed.

Naki just watched as I retracted my kagune and once again began skipping with a cheerful whistle on my lips.
