アオギリの樹
"The rise of investigators in the area must be scaring all our customers away," I groaned to Touka. I slouched down deeper into the chair I was sitting on.
I suddenly remembered something that caused me to burst up and look at Touka. She looked back at me and blinked her eyes understanding but tilted her head slightly towards Kaneki who was still in the room with us washing some dishes.
"Hey Kaneki!" I yelled. The boys head perked up to look at me. "You've got some dirt on your cheek. Go to the bathroom to clean is off."
"Oh I do?! Thanks Emilce," he said as he ran off.
Once Kaneki was gone I walked over to Touka who looked at me expectantly.
"Somethings going to happen today so prepare yourself. I don't exactly remember what but I think it's something to do with Aogiri Tree," I said.
Touka nodded her head in response.
"Touka... what do I do? My memory has been fading faster and faster and I know something really important is going to happen and someone is about to get severely hurt. I just can't remember who or what is going to hurt them,"
Touka placed her hand onto my shoulder and smiled at me. "Do you remember what I told you?" Touka asked.
"No one is supposed to know the future so if you forget then it's the same as if you never knew it was going to happen," I replied.
"Exactly so just take a deep breath and focus on the now, you're one of us now so remember that. We will always be on your side, well unless of course you join Aogiri Tree or the CCG but thats besides the point. Just know that I have your back okay,"
I smiled at the girl infront of me. "Thanks Touka,"
"Hey I don't have anything on my face!" Kaneki said as he ruffled my hair.
"Hey I just brushed that!" I yelled, swatting his hand away.
The bell rang as the door suddently opened and in walked a man with three people wearing gase mask behind him.
The man glanced around the room with a hard look on his face.
"Where's your manager?" he asked.
"What?" Kaneki mumbled.
The man suddenly grabbed Kaneki by the collar and lifted him up.
"I asked if your manager was here!!" He screamed in Kaneki's face. Poor Kaneki looked absolutely terrified.
"T-the manager has stepped out for a bit," Kaneki answered.
The man then proceeded to shake the living daylights out of Kaneki. "Then where is he?!"
I placed my hand ontop of the mans hand where he had held onto Kaneki with.
"If I were you I'd release him," I said coldly while staring him hard in the eye. "You wouldn't want to have to regenerate this hand on yours would you."
The man glared back at me and seemed like he was going to attack me next before Touka interupted us.
"Hey you!" She yelled at him. "If you've got business here, the least you could do is order a cup of coffee."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY!" He screamed at her.
...
I don't know how she did it but somehow Touka managed to calm down the guy and got him sitting down at a table with the three of us.
"If you've got something to tell the manager, I can relay it for you," Touka said calmly.
The now more calm man took a sip of coffee before speaking. "I have something I want to ask you guys aswell," he said.
