It's been a week since the full moon and Stiles has been pondering if he should try and get in touch with his friends. Then he remembers what Tyler said about them basically abandoning him...but Tyler doesn't know the full story. Then again that shouldn't matter, should it? Stiles never abandoned them in their times of need and the first thing they did was leave him alone the moment he needed them.
Stiles is still trying to decide whether he should send a message and who he should send it to when he walks past the office to hear arguing.
"How do you know that?" Tyler asks.
"Because you're not gonna trigger the curse. Your dad didn't know anything about any of this neither did I until it happened to me." Mason tells Tyler.
"How does it get triggered?" Tyler questions.
"Ignorance is bliss, trust me." Mason promises.
"You blow back into town with some supernatural family secret, and you expect me not to ask questions?" Tyler asks, incredulous.
"I can't say anything more, I'm sorry, Tyler. It's better for you if I don't. are you coming in Stiles?" Mason calls out.
Stiles enters the room looking sheepish. "Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I just didn't want to interrupt."
Mason looks at Stiles like if Tyler wasn't their right now, he would call him a liar.
"You ever find that moon stone?" Tyler suddenly asks.
"Do you know where it is?" Mason asks immediately.
"What's so special about it?" Tyler pushes.
"I told you; it was my mom's. it's sentimental. Look, just don't worry about it. Forget I even brought it up, alright? See you later." Mason says before walking out of the room.
Stiles watches as Tyler takes the moonstone out of his pocket and holds it in his hand to look at for a few seconds before he looks at Stiles.
"You have any plans for today?" Tyler asks.
"None." Stiles answers.
"Great, you can help me research this moonstone." Tyler says.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They've spent several hours now researching moonstones and Stiles hasn't been able to find anything about it that he didn't already now.
"I can't find anything. You?" Tyler asks while stretching.
"Nada, zilch, niet, nothing." Stiles admits.
"I thought you were supposed to be the king of research." Tyler points out.
"I was...am, I am. I just... I just haven't done this in a while plus I have none of my books here to help." Stiles says.
"You have books? On moonstones?" Tyler asks curious.
"No, I have books on the supernatural and I have this big book of legends and I swear to God there is a page in there that talks about a curse that is bound using a moonstone. Maybe I should get my dad to text me a picture of it." Stiles mutters.
"Why do you have books about the supernatural." Tyler questions.
That causes Stiles to look at Tyler, not sure how to answer.
"I want to tell you Tyler, but the one thing you should know about the supernatural world is that once you're in it, it is really hard to get out of it unscathed." Stiles admits.
