Chapter 27

"I'm just pointing out that you would be making my job so much easier if you would just tell me who knows about the supernatural and who is what." John points out as he butters his toast across the table from Stiles.

"And I'm going to give you the information Daddio as soon as you promise that you aren't going to go anywhere the vampires in town. Except maybe Caroline...she seems fine." Stiles tells his father around a mouth full of cereal causing his dad to scrunch his nose up in disgust.

"I can't promise you that Stiles. From what you've told me one of them is good friends with the Sheriff, who I am now working with. There is a chance that I will bump into one of them. But I can promise you that I won't go actively looking for a vampire. Okay?" John asks his son who is looking at him with a defeated look.

"Fine." Stiles groans before he asks, "Do you want to know about who is supernatural first?"

"No, tell me who knows about the supernatural first, I'm sure that I'm more likely to bump into them on the job." John states.

"Gut feeling?" Stiles asks.

"That...and I've been paying attention to you when you would talk to me about living here." John agrees.

"Okay so people who know about the supernatural. Carol, the sheriff, her deputies and everyone on the council or part of the founding families." Stiles informs.

"Who's on the council?" John asks as he takes a bite of his toast.

"The founding families mostly, a couple of outsiders...people in positions to help cover up the supernatural. You should really be asking Carol this; she is the leader of the council now." Stiles tells his father causing the man to nod before asking.

"And who are the founding families?" John queries.

"Ummm, let's see if I remember...Lockwood's, Gilbert's, Forbes' and...the Fell's. I think that's it. Oh, and the Salvatore's. But you will be staying away from them." Stiles answers.

"Why will I be staying away from them?" John asks confused.

"They are all vampires." Stiles states.

"All of them?" John asks in disbelief.

"Well technically it's both of them, seeing as there are only two left in town. But yes, both vampires. Speaking of which, Stefan, the younger of the two currently has his emotions turned off so it would be best if you kept extra far away from him." Stiles tells his father before taking another spoonful of cereal.

"Okay how about you tell me who's what now." John orders.

"Okay, they mainly hang out with each other so it shouldn't be too hard for you to figure out who they are once you've noticed them. So, vampires are, Caroline Forbes, Damon and Stefan Salvatore and Katherine, Elena's doppelganger." John interrupts.

"What exactly is a doppelganger?"

"Doppelgangers are basically identical twins from different centuries. They have no mystical powers, but their blood can be used for many different spells." Stiles sums up what he has learned.

His father simply nods before gesturing for Stiles to continue.

"Then we have witches, which is basically only Bonnie Bennett as far as I'm aware. Then we have hybrids, which is just Tyler currently. I get the feeling that, that is going to change though. I've already told you about doppelgangers and then Jeremy Gilbert is something or will be something, but I have no idea what." Stiles informs his father.

"Is that everyone?" John asks.

"No, now we come to the people that if you meet, you must be as polite to them as possible. They could kill you without blinking." Stiles says turning serious.
