The road to recovery

Chapter 20

Katherine watches as Klaus who is currently in Alaric's body goes through the man's clothes.

"Oh! Who is this guy, Safari Sam?" Klaus asks rhetorically before pulling out two shirts to show her. "Okay, bad or badder?"

"The dark colours suit you better." Katherine offers.

"Oh, thank you, honey." Klaus says sarcastically. "Okay, pop quiz. The dagger and white ask are in the Salvatore's possession, correct?"

"The dagger was used to kill Elijah. You'll find him in the basement of the Salvatore house." Katherine informs him.

"Okay, that dagger needs to stay exactly where it is. The last thing I need to do is resurrect Elijah. Oh, that guy is a buzzkill." Klaus states.

"Don't forget you're on the outs with your girlfriend Jenna." Katherine reminds Klaus.

"Right. Elena's aunt. For all the lies about Isobel. What else?" Klaus asks.

"That's it." Katherine states.

Klaus walks over to where Katherine is sitting in a chair and lightly touches her face causing Katherine to flinch.

"Oh, so jumpy." Klaus taunts.

"Please, just...kill me. I've told you everything that I know." Katherine pleads.

Klaus places his hands on the arms rests of Katherines chair and looks at her face. "You see. I believe that you believe that, but what would you not know? What could they be keeping from you? Hmm? Anything? Tell me." Klaus compels her.

"There's a boy. Stiles." Katherine starts.

"Mm-hm." Klaus hums.

"They don't know what he is, but I did some research when I heard about him. They said that his eyes glowed purple." Katherine explains.

"He's the boy that survived void." Katherine watches as Klaus smirks at this. "Anything else?"

"They were trying to see if Bonnie could find a way to kill and Original without a dagger." Katherine informs him.

"Bonnie the best friend? I thought you said she didn't have her powers anymore." Klaus states.

"She doesn't or didn't. I don't know. You kidnapped me, remember? I'm kinda out of the loop." Katherine huffs out.

"Well, we'll have to get to the bottom of that." Klaus determines.

"Please just kill me, Klaus, and be done with it." Katherine begs.

"And show you kindness? I've searched for you for over 500 years. Your death is going to last at least half that long." Klaus states before pulling out a knife and holding it towards Katherine.

"I want you to take this knife...and stab yourself." Klaus compels her.

Katherine picks up the knife and stabs herself in the thigh causing her to wail out in pain.

"Now take it out...Now while I'm gone, I want you to do that over and over again and if you get bored, switch legs." Klaus orders.

"Where are you going?" Katherine asks.

"I'm gonna go lay eyes on my precious doppelganger." Klaus says before he kisses Katherine on the forehead. "Oh, don't look so glum, Katerina. The fun is just beginning. Again."

Katherine stabs herself in the leg again as Klaus leaves the apartment.
