Happy Easter Everyone, I hope you all have had a hoppin' fun Easter so far, as I am aware that the day is drawing to an end!

Sadly Wattpad isn't allowing me to add an image above, but hopefully the short story below will make up for it!

The moon was up in the sky right above me as I was out hiding chocolate eggs me and Shota had bought for Eri, actually having spoke about the holiday instead of just bumping into eachother as we put our plans into action.

“How many eggs have you got left to hide?” I quickly spun around to face Shota, looking to his bag, it was visibly empty. “How have you hid all of them so quickly?”

“Because they aren't in hard to find places... And there's another thing we didn't discuss. Y/n, did you ever hide eggs for the children at the orphanage?” I nodded. “Yep! Me and Hanako hid chocolate eggs every year, enough for each child to have one each, so to make it a day filled with fun we hid them in the best possible places!” He let out a breath.

“Y/n, this will be Eri's first Easter in which she celebrates, she doesn't need to be getting frustrated over not being able to find the eggs.” I hung my head and held out my bag to him. He sighed before bringing me into a hug “I know what you were trying to do, and I'm sure Eri will appreciate the challenge when she's older and bit more confident!” I nodded.

“I'll go rehide my eggs!” He nodded and carefully took the bag from my hands “Whilst you do that I'll hide these. Meet up back in the dorm?” I nodded and we separated to do the jobs we were tasked with.

Once done with rehiding the small tin foil wrapped eggs I went back up to the dorm me, Shota, and Eri stayed in during school time. I flopped onto the couch and not long later did Shota enter the dorm. He chuckled and came over “Wouldn't you rather go to bed?” I groaned to whine out.

“Haven't got the energy!”

“Okay! I would offer to carry you but it'll be better for you to sleep on there than in the hallway because I've carried you and lost all my energy!” I laughed and smiled up at him. He leaned down and pressed a kiss on my forehead “You know where to find me if you need me.” I sleepily smiled and pointed to my lips, he chucked and pecked my lips “Goodnight darling!” I hummed.

“Goodnight Shota!”

He walked away but after a few minutes he came back, carefully moving me so he could also get on the couch. I whispered “I thought you wanted to sleep in the bed?” He just mumbled back whilst wrapping his arms around me “Couldn't sleep without you.” I smiled and cuddled up to him.

I woke up to the sound of small feet running around but decided to keep my eyes closed until a small familiar hand was eagerly tapping at my shoulder. “Mummy, daddy! It's Easter!” I hummed and opened my eyes, looking over my shoulder to face her “Happy Easter Sweetheart!” She grinned before tilting her head “Why are you on the couch?” Shota moved around to sit, moving me so I was sat on his lap.

“Y/n decided to ensure the Easter bunny really came by staying up all night to watch outside for them. That also means she knows where all the eggs are so you are definitely able to get all the eggs!” Eri cheered jumping up slightly “Can I go out now and find them?” Shota hummed.

“Don't run off too far, me and Mummy will be right down!” Eri nodded and quickly hugged us both “I won't!” She then quickly ran to the door and after a small amount of time I heard her yell “Mummy and daddy told me there's eggs outside!” I smiled at hearing the excitement in her voice.

Shota then picked me up to stand and place me on my feet “Come on, let's get changed!”

We made our way downstairs to get outside but stopped at seeing class 1-A huddled together. I called out “Happy Easter guys!” They all quickly turned and I could tell something was up, Shota obviously noticing as well for he crossed his arms and asked “What are you all up to?” They all looked around at eachother.

Todoroki spoke up “We went out this morning and found a load of eggs, Eri then came down and told us about the egg hunt she was about to embark on and now we're trying to find a way to hide the eggs we haven't eaten.” I looked to Shota, unsure on how to deal with the situation. His eyebrow was twitching so I quickly said “Its fine, we can fix this! How many eggs are left?”

They moved to reveal the table that was coated in tin foil. I bit my lip and looked around “Uh, okay... I'll go call Eri in for breakfast... Can you guys hide the remaining eggs and get rid of any rubbish.” They nodded and I let out a breath, making my way to the door.

Shota grabbed my shoulder, I turned and he spoke “Strict parent, soft parent... You go make breakfast, I'll call her in.” I shook my head “She's going to be out there looking for eggs that are no longer there.” He hummed and brushed hair out of my face “I know, but we can't let her know that and I know you'll reveal your heartbreak at seeing that... Anyway, not all hope is lost. 1-A loves Eri almost as much as we do, I doubt they'll let her down!” I let out a breath and I nodded before leaning up and kissing his cheek “Go get our princess, dragon!” He smirked and leaned down to peck my lips “Don't worry I shall return her safety to our home!”

After a while in the kitchen Shota came through carrying Eri on his back “Back home you go princess!” She slid off his back and he lifted her onto my shoulders. I turned slightly to look at him “As promised, the princess is back without a scratch to our home!” I smiled before looking up upon Eri leaning over my head.

“Hi mummy! What are we having for breakfast?”

“Eggs and soldiers!” She licked her lips “Yummy!”

🐰

Once we finished Eri rushed back outside, me and Shota followed after her to see 1-A lounging around in the common space. I smiled and whispered “They did it!” Shota hummed.

We stepped outside to see Eri jumping up and down next to a bush before she picked up a foil wrapped egg that was larger than the ones we had bought for easy hiding. She held it high up into the sky “Thank you Mr Easter Bunny!” Shota chuckled and wrapped his arms around my waist from behind to then call across to Eri “Who says the Easter bunny is male?” Eri looked over to us and tilted her head. Shota then saying “The Easter bunny could be a female! After all, gender doesn't define what one is able to do!” Eri smiled and asked.

“So I could be an Easter Bunny when I grow up?” Shota hummed and responded “Yep, so dream big Eri!” Eri nodded and continued her search.

I leaned my head back to look at Shota “You're a good dad!” A small smile graced his face as he just continued to watch Eri. I lifted my head to watch again and after a while Shota softly kissed the side of my head. I leaned into him more and he held me closer.

He then whispered “I couldn't do this without you!” I shook my head. “I'm sure you'd manage!”

“Maybe so, but there's a difference between managing and living... You ignite the candles that allow me to see life for all it's worth.” I smiled.

“And you allow me to thrive, by supporting and encouraging me... Although, I have to give credit to Eri as well!” He chuckled before letting out a hum “Yes, the matchstick that brings fire to the candle!”
