𝟎𝟏: interference
"overtime that longing starts
to fade.""How long are you going to watch him?" Felix asked, as he stood behind Henrik as they watched Kol observing Davina. "Who's the girl he's been stalking?"
"Until I have what I need from him." Henrik answered his first question, as he glanced behind his shoulder to look at Felix. "Davina Claire, New Orleans has what they call a harvest. They kill a couple of young witches to maintain their power from the ancestral plane, and in return the ancestors bring the girls back. You know the rest." He told him, as he kept his eyes on the Claire witch for a few moments before returning his attention back to Kol.
"What's your plan for him at the moment?" Felix questioned, as he glanced between Kol and Davina.
"My mother obviously wants something from Davina, I just don't know what yet. She's using Kol to find out, so i'm going to interfere a little to find out before my mother does." Henrik admitted. "Call it whatever you please, but this is very well the opening moves of the game and I plan to keep myself in the lead."
"So how do you plan to get Kol away from Davina then?" Felix questioned.
"If I know my mother then she'll give me the perfect opportunity unintentionally." Henrik answered. "All we have to do is wait."
"Ah yes the waiting game." Felix hummed, as he moved to stand next to Henrik instead behind him.
"People don't realize if they just had a little more patience that the moves of their opponents become obvious, the game sits right in their palms. But, no they lose their patience and the game shifts away from their odds. The king, Queen, Knights, Pawns... all get knocked off the board, and they don't get back up." Henrik said emotionless, as he kept his eyes on his older brother.
"Ah so Kol's the most impatient out of your siblings." Felix said in realization. "You're taking the pawns."
"Correct." Henrik nodded. "Kol may be a tricky bastard, but his weakness is patience."
Henrik and Felix had watched Kol for a couple more hours, before heading back to the loft. It had been a couple of days, before the opportunity had shown itself to Henrik. That's how he found himself walking into the restaurant where Davina had been waiting on the no show of his brother still.
As he walked into the restaurant, he locked eyes with the hopeful Claire witch but he soon watched as the hope once again vanished. Yet he gave her a charming smile, before making his way to the bar. Ordering himself a drink, he turned to lean against the bar as he watched Davina subtly.
