Chapter 12: Babysitting is hard (Kai)

Kai: Ugh... huh?
Kai looked around at his surroundings to find... ruin? How could this have happened?
Kai: We were just in a city border. How did this happen? Hey guys, check this-
He looked and they were gone. In there place were ripped tents with the color faded and skulls, bones, and broken accessories scattered in the area.
Kai: No. No, no, no, no, no, NO!!!
He heard a noise and was about to turn around when he awoke.
Kai: *Sigh* Just a dream...
He slumped back into his sleeping bag and relaxed, letting slumber take him.

The next morning:

Kai: Alright, everyone get up!
Silence.
Kai: GET UP!
Silence.
Kai: I SAID-
All but Kai: *From behind* WAKE UP!!!
Kai: Ah! *Shoots dragon darts*
Speed: Ow ow!
Turbo: Hey!
All the girls: Watch it!
Drake: Oh s***!
Black: I really don't care.
Flare: My fluff!
Carter: *Shadow sneak*
When Kai ran out of ammunition, everyone got back up (they all got in a defensive curl up position to try and avoid the dragon darts).
Speed: What the heck man?
Drake: That was really painful!
Kai: Sorry. You guys just startled me.
Lazuli: You really need to learn to take a joke.
Kai: <*Groan*>
Carter: So, should we look for the legendaries here?
Kai: Well, yeah sure.
Flare: What if that *echoing effect for underlined part* assassin-like guy comes?
Kai: Wha-What?
Speed: Are you doing okay?
Kai: I think I just need a minute.
Kai's vision then starts to black out and he sees that wasteland again, collapsing into the grass.
Lily: Woah!
Pearl: Kai!
...
He was just there lying in the grass, unconscious.
Speed: We need to get him to a pokemon center! Turbo, help me carry him!
Turbo: Got it!
He picks up Kai by the launchers.
Turbo: Wow, he is muscular.
Speed: Not the time or place.
Silvia: Here, let me try something.
She starts using her ribbons to attempt to heal Kai.
Silvia: Ow! It shocked me.
Black: What?
Carter: Is that supposed to happen?
Speed: What do you think?
Carter: How should I know?!
Shade: Hey, no need to yell.
Turbo: Yeah, lets just get him where he needs to be... I guess.
The group hurries to the city and after simple navigation, they arrive at a pokemon center. They open the doors and rush inside, spotting a chance at the desks.
Chansey: Hello, how may I-
Pearl: Our friend needs help. We don't know what's wrong with him. We were standing around talking and he just collapsed.
Chansey: Here, let me take a look. Bring him to my medical room.
They carry Kai all the way to a white and red room with many medical tools and supplies. The chansey then starts checking him with various objects, more than half of which the team doesn't really understand. After about 75 minutes, the team has their answer.
Chansey: It's from some sort of PTSD. He was triggered by something.
Pearl: I've read his mind, and it didn't seem like he had any PTSD.
Jess: Maybe it was just recently developed.
Speed: Hey, maybe she is on to something.
Jill: Well, maybe it was from that kidnapping.
Carter: Oh yeah!
Leafy: One question. How long will he be like this, doctor?
Chansey: About a few more hours. Just let him get plenty of rest and he will recover in no time. When he does, just try not to trigger him again too much. I'm not saying it would be horrible, but it isn't healthy for any body to go through that kind of stress.
Pearl: Well thank you, doctor, but we should get going now.
Chansey: Have a great rest of your day!
Carter: You too!
On the way out, he tosses a small bag of 250 poké towards chansey.
Chansey: What a nice bunch of poké. I bet they could save the world if they wanted.
As our heroes left the center, Pearl decided to use psychic on Lai to carry him to make life easier.
Lazuli: You couldn't have made him do that sooner?
Black: I hurt my back.
(Well, you never asked)
Lazuli: Typical author.
(What was that?!)
Lazuli: Nothing.
Turbo: Hey, quit dilly dallying. We don't have all day.
Silvia: But we can't really do anything. We can't hunt for legendaries since Kai is unconscious and he is one of our best fighters.
Flare: She is right.
Silvia: See? Someone agrees with me! *Gives Flare a small noogie*
Flare: Ah! My hair!
Crystal: Ugh, less talking, more doing.
Silvia: Doing eh?~ Not a prob-
Speed: NO.
Silvia: Aw man.
Lazuli: I think you will survive 1 night without trying to **** with someone.
Silvia: Well, for your information, Mrs. Fun ruiner, but I have certain needs.
Lazuli: Silvia, That's gross.
Kai then starts to slightly open his eyes.
Carter: He is waking up!
Kai: Ugh... Hey! Put me down!
Pearl slowly lowers Kai down to the ground.
Kai: Okay, how long was I out for?
Jill: About 5 hours.
Kai: Ugh...
Pearl: The doctor said you might have some kind of form of PTSD. Do you think you might as well?
Kai: Well, I think it was from that wierd guy with the fists.
Jill: I was right!
Crystal: Oh, well sorry to hear that.
Kai: It's fine. We should focus more on the mission.
Silvia: Can we stay at a hotel this time? Its been really hard having to put up with the outdoors.
Kai: Sure. Let's go.
They arrived at a shiny hotel. (I'm too tired to come up with a name)
They walked in and checked in at the counter.
Lilligant: Hi, how many rooms?
Speed: Um... 6

2. Drake and Lily's
3. Flare and Leafy's
4. Shade and Carter's
5. Silvia and Turbo's
6. Black, Pearl, Jill, Jess, and Kai's
Kai: Welp, looks like it's decided.
Speed: I'll see the rest of you in the morning?
Carter: Yep.
Jill: See ya.
Flare: Bye big bro.
Silvia: I'm tired.
Lily: Can't wait for breakfast!
