TW//  mentions of blood 😝

Leo and Usagi were having another argument. It was very rare for them to get so heated over something, but every argument lead to nasty insults, someone leaving, and not coming back still a day or two later.

They always made up though, never have they ever stayed mad at each other for more than a day.

Would this time be different? (No)

"Leo, I'm trying to be nice, I really am. But you're not making any sense." Leo sighed into his hands and turned around. "Well, that's a big surprise, huh?" He heard a scoff and turned back around. "What does that mean?" He watched as Usagi's face went red with anger. He had a very short temper, and Leo knew that.

"You never understand anything! Every time I tell you something you have to ask more questions to "understand"! I just don't get why you're always so confused about everything." He watched as a flash of hurt went through Usagi's eyes, but was quickly covered with anger.

"At least I'm not an impulsive jerk who never thinks about others! Seriously, someone is going to die because of you!" He ended his sentence with a soft shove to Leo's plastron. Leo caught himself on the back of Usagi's couch.

He didn't think, because if he did, his next actions and words would've cost him everything.

"Shut the fuck up! You don't know what you're talking about!" This time, he shoved Usagi, rather hard. He didn't let himself see if his lover fell or caught himself, because he left the apartment into the night.

If he had stayed though, he would've seen Usagi tumble backwards into a small side table next to the wall, knocking over the vase and framed picture of them that sat there.

He hit his head on the wall, causing a groan to fill the room. He let himself sit there for a moment to regain his thoughts and to let the pounding in his head settle down.

When he looked up, the picture that hung next to the door had fallen down and shattered from the sudden slam.

He felt tears prick at his eyes and he sat up more. He rubbed his face, trailing it to the back of his head. His face turned in confusion as he felt the back of his head more.

He stood up and made his way the the bathroom that was located on the other side of the room.

He looked out of the corner of his eye into the mirror and his eyes widened.

He tried to remain calm and pulled a few tissues out of a box on the side of the sink. He dampened them and placed it on the back of his head. He held it tightly, now feeling the stinging pain.

He winced and removed them to see them drenched in blood. He pulled more out and held them against his head. He wasn't sure if he needed to go to a hospital or not, but he definitely wasn't going either way.

He started feeling lightheaded, but pushed it away and continued the cycle of grabbing more tissues and throwing them away.

He let out a breath as his vision started getting blurry. He threw the tissues away and decided to just get in the shower and see if that'll do any good.

So he turned the shower on as he stripped himself of his clothing and stepped into the warm water. He faced the back of the tub and sat down, letting the water run over his face.

He kept his eyes open throughout the haziness and reached behind him again. He felt that the bleeding had stopped, but he could feel a small cut. It didn't feel like anything too serious, so he decided to stay in the water for a few minutes, to let himself cool off from the heated conversation that happened just an hour ago.

Usagi switched the the shower into a bath and plugged the drain. He laid back and let the tub fill up.

He hated how himself and Leo got in arguments. He also hated himself for worrying about him and where he had gone. He probably went to the lair with his brothers, but a part of him was worried he went somewhere else without telling anyone.

He reached over the side of the tub and grabbed a bottle of Benadryl. He took three of the small, pink pills and laid back down. He let out a yawn and let his eyes fall shut.

He let himself fall slightly deeper into the already shallow water. He made sure to keep his head higher than the wall of the tub so that if he fell asleep he wouldn't sink and drown. And that's what happened.

His eyes slipped shut and he fell asleep.

His dream was wonderful though. Much better than the day he'd already had. He and Leo had a beautiful date at the new secret restaurant for the Yōkai, and afterwards they watched the sunset on a building and oh, was it amazing.

But when he opened his eyes a few hours later, he was back in the bathroom. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. The water was a little over half way filled and but it had been turned off. He heard something playing from outside the bathroom and decided to go investigate because, what could make this day any worse?

He pulled the plug out of the drain and stepped out the bath. He wrapped a towel around his waist and walked into the living room. He felt his heart dwell when he seen all the glass had been cleaned up, the pictures were placed into new frames and back where they were, the vase had been replaced and the flowers were placed in them.

But what caught his eye the most, was a puffy eyed sleeping red eared slider on the couch. He smiled at him, but couldn't help but to grimace. He didn't know if he could just forgive him so easily, but then again, he hasn't heard a real apology yet.

He just sighed and and went into his room to change and bandage his head. He came back out and carefully laid on his lover while pulling a blanket over them.

He'd talk to him in the morning..
