"Come on!" Jimin groaned as he struggled to pull the blanket that Jungkook was hiding beneath. "Jungkook, we are going to be late." Jimin huffed out as he pulled at the blanket again.

Jungkook grinned underneath his blanket knowing they had plenty of time to meet up with the others before they all had to leave. Jimin was just being dramatic. Jimin hated being late to anything. Jungkook threw his blanket back and grabbed Jimin's wrist causing him to yelp in surprise as Jungkook pulled him down into the bed with him replacing the covers back over the two of them Jungkook laughing all the while.

"Just five more minutes." Jungkook spoke as he wrapped himself around Jimin, locking him in place.

"Fine, five more minutes." Jimin grumbled, making Jungkook laugh again.

Jungkook relaxed his limbs that he'd tightened around Jimin when he thought he was going to fight him over the additional minutes. Jungkook felt Jimin's breath against his bare skin causing it to prickle. Jungkook wondered what Jimin was thinking about as he lay in his arms practically hearing his brain going a mile a minute.

"What's on your mind?" Jungkook asked.

"How do you always do that?" Jimin questioned as he craned his neck to look up at Jungkook.

Jungkook didn't answer him, sighing in response. Jimin continued to stare at Jungkook watching his eyes shift beneath his eyelids that remained closed. Jimin eventually tucked himself back underneath Jungkook's chin, shrugging his shoulders directly afterwards, shifting the blanket above them as he did.

"Just that this is the last summer we'll spend together."

"Is it?"

"I mean yeah. The seven of us at least. Namjoon and Yoongi are going to the states, Seokjin is going to France while the rest of us are splitting off to different universities here."

"Not us." Jungkook whispered, keeping the never us he wanted to tack on solely to himself.

Jimin smiled, "you're right."

Jimin and him were going to be attending the same university. They had even found an apartment they could afford not far from campus. Jungkook remembered the look of relief that painted Jimin's features when Jungkook told him he was going to attend the same university as him. Jungkook knew how happy Jimin was to have one of his best friends with him as they all moved into the next phase of their lives. What Jimin didn't know was that Jungkook had given up the opportunity to attend school with Yoongi and Namjoon in the states.

"We should probably get up." Jungkook spoke because the longer he lay there with Jimin he found his mind wandering to places it probably shouldn't.

Jimin pulled Jungkook back down unaware of his inner turmoil burrowing back into the position he'd been in before Jungkook went to get up, "just five more minutes."

Jungkook sighed resignedly, "five more minutes."

They were late, but when Jungkook pointed out that it was Jimin who wanted an additional five minutes on top of his five minutes he got nothing but a pout in return. Jungkook just laughed and hugged Jimin from behind, almost toppling the two of them over while the rest of their friends laughed.

"Geez, Jungkook. If you get any bigger, you'll be able to bench press Jimin." Namjoon laughed.

"Who says I can't already? I mean he's so tiny." Jungkook teased already running out of Jimin's reach knowing he was going to smack him for his comment.

"I'm not tiny." Jimin whined.

"You're smaller than Yoongi which makes you tiny." Hoseok pointed out.

"Yoongi and I are practically the same size." Jimin huffed defensively.

"Still got an inch on you which makes you smaller." Yoongi chuckled.

They all loved teasing Jimin about how small he was.

"All right all right children. Let's settle down. Jimin, we love you but you're tiny, accept it and embrace it. Life will become easier for you once you do." Seokjin spoke candidly.

"Says the guy with shoulders for miles." Jimin muttered under his breath, but they all heard him.

Jungkook's laughter joined Taehyung's and the rest of them followed even Seokjin.

"All right, come on guys. We are already late so let's get on the road."

All of them agreed and one by one hopped into the SUV. The seven of them squeezed into it like they had always done since Seokjin bought it three years ago. Although as they grew and got older the space became tighter, no one ever said a word about it. Instead, they all enjoyed the closeness it afforded as they didn't know when they were going to see their little group come together again after this summer. With everyone buckled in which took considerable shifting and maneuvering they took off.

Jungkook watched their small-town melt away as the trees replaced buildings and houses as Seokjin drove them out of the town, the seven of them grew up in. They didn't have far to go. The lake house that Namjoon's family owned was only a couple hours' drive from town. It was where they would spend the next two months before they all went their separate ways pursuing their various university degrees. Jungkook rolled the window down ignoring the complaints from the others that he was letting the air out. The weather was perfect for staying at the lake house in Jungkook's opinion. It was hot yet not quite to the point where you felt like you were suffocating the moment you stepped outside. Jungkook felt Jimin's head lay onto his shoulder. Jungkook looked over to see Jimin staring out the window; the trees now denser the closer they got to their destination. Jungkook turned his eyes back to the trees without a word and followed the blur of green and brown as they sped towards their home for the next two months.
