JJ was standing next to me as I was sitting down while John B was driving. We managed to get to the dock where Miss Amy was standing with someone else.
"Hi, Miss Amy! You guys get through it?" John B asks
"Still here." She replied
"She totally looked at me." JJ whispered to us
"I saw it." John B says, I roll my eyes playfully
"In your dreams, JJ." I say
"Dude, look at this place." John B says and JJ whistles
"Agatha, what did you do?" JJ says
"She is a crazy lady." John B says
"Hard-core." JJ says, "Hurricane surge."
"Yeah." John B and I say at the same time
"We'll be cleaning this all summer." JJ says
"Nah, I ain't. I've got more important stuff to do." I say
"That is my nightmare." John B says as he slows down
"Pope, my man!" I say and JJ gives me look like he was jealous or some sort but I ignored it.
"Well, look who we have here." John B says, "we have a safety meeting. Attendance Mandatory." John B put his hand on his mouth and talked to his shoulder
"I can't. My pop's got me on lockdown." Pope says
"Come on, man." JJ says and he mimics static noises then talks to his shoulder, "Your dad's a pussy. Over."
"Oh, I heard that, you little bastard." Heyward says which caused me to chuckle
"We need your son." John B says
"Yeah, and island rules. Day after a hurricane's a free day." JJ says
"Who the hell made that up?" Heyward says
"Uh..Pentagon, I think. We have security clearance. I have a card." JJ lies as we were slowly making our way pass the dock
"Think I'm stupid." Heyward says
"Do you want us to answer that or.." I tease
"I'll- I'll do it tomorrow. I promise. Tomorrow." Pope says as we start to pass them
"No, no. Hell no. You're doing it right now." Heyward says and I look at Pope
"Jump on the boat." I whisper to him
"Get in the boat." John B whispers
"Make a run for it." JJ says and Pope starts to move to the edge of the dock
"Boy, if you get in that boat-" Heyward starts but Pope gets in the boat
"How does that feel?" JJ says
"Go, go, go." Pope says as John B starts to move faster and I stood up as JJ swings the rope in circles
"Bring your ass back up here." Heyward says
"I promise I'll do it tomorrow, Dad." Pope says
"We will take good care of your son, Heyward!" I shout to him as I turn to look back to Pope
"You gonna clean shrimp, clean fish." Heyward starts but we were moving pretty fast so we couldn't hear the rest of his rant
"Love you, Pops." John B says as Heyward carries on
Now it was time to pick Kie up. Pope was sitting at the front of the boat with his feet dangling down while I sat behind Pope with JJ's legs on my legs.
"So, how did that feel, Pope? Leaving your old man like that." I say and he turns to look at me
"Dunno, to be honest." Pope says and I roll my eyes jokily
"Did you bring weed with you, JJ? I could do with some." I asked as we got closer to Kiara's place, JJ however didn't answer me but just a simple nod. We saw Kiara walking down her dock
"Oh, top o' the mornin to ya." JJ says in an irish accent as Kie got to the edge of the dock
"Good morning, boys and girls." Kiara says
"Whatcha got? You got some juice boxes" Pope asks as Kie walked down the ramp
"You know, just some yogurts and carrot sticks." Kie says as she stops by the end
"How about my kind of juice box?" JJ asks as he helps Kie get in the boat.
"Yeah." Kie says once she got in
"Brace for impact." John B says as Kie sat down next to me which made Pope turn around. Kie opens the cooler and JJ, Kiara and I grabbed a bottle
"Salud." Kie says as she clicks her bottle with mine and JJ's
"Skoal." JJ says and all three of us starts drinking it

"Let me show you guys a party trick," JJ says as he makes his way to the front of the boat, "Hey Pope, could you go a little faster?"
"Here we go. I'm moving." John B says as he moves to the back, Pope started to move the boat faster.
"JJ, it doesn't work." I say to him but he ignores me
"We've tried this like 6,000 times." John B says
"I got this. It's gonna work!" JJ convinces us. He puts his beer higher trying to pour it in his mouth but he ends up pouring it everywhere
"JJ, you're getting beer in my hair!" Kie shouts
"Oh my god, JJ, that's enough." I chuckled as I stand up from where I'm sitting
"All right. All right." Pope says as he shield himself from the beer. I walk towards JJ to try and stop him doing this stupid party trick
"All right, you're done." John B says
"JJ!" I say raising my voice, I try to grab the beer bottle from JJ but all of a sudden the boat does a sharp stop which caused me and JJ flying into the water. I quickly make my way back up to surface once I'm up from the water, I cough all the water I inhaled. JJ suddenly gasps as soon as he gets back to the surface.
"Oh my god, Pope." I groan in pain
"You okay, JJ?" John B says while looking at us
"Maryse, you okay?" Kiara says as she helps me up back onto the boat
"I think my heels touched the back of my head." JJ says which caused me to giggle. Kiara looks at me waiting for my answer to her question
"I'm excellent, Kie." I groan in pain
"Pope, what did you do?" JJ asks
"Sandbar. The channel changed." Pope replies
"Well no shit Sherlock."
"No shit."
JJ and I say at the same time as JJ swims his way back to the boat. Pope walks to the front of the boat looking down, I follow him because I swear I noticed something down there when I was in the water.
"Hey, I saved the beer, though." JJ says as he holds up the beer bottle
"Congrats JJ." John B says rolling his eyes
I look at Pope and follow his gaze. Oh shit, there is a boat down there. What the fuck. Pope and I both look at each other with our eyes wide open.
"Guys, I think there's a boat down there." Pope says and everyone looks at us like we are going crazy
