"Guys, please just let me explain" my friends were having a difficult time comprehending what had happened.

"What is there to explain Paige? You killed her, you're a murderer" Ayah stared at me wide eyed. After my little "event", Brian and I set out to look for the others; it wasn't that hard since Ayah was left alone and paired with Lizbeth because she had left Jenna alone. In other words they paired up with each other. And it wasn't hard to find a water tornado, you just have to look towards the sky.

"Ayah I swear I did it because she was about to kill us. It's not like I've killed anyone before" I "unwillingly" omitted the fact that I did it because she tried to kill Brian. Lizbeth had stayed quiet this entire time, she just at the floor.

"Okay so let's say I do believe you. Why would Fabiola do anything like this? And I'm not saying I believe you" she said the last part with a slight tone of sarcasm; Ayah wasn't normally sarcastic.

"I don't know, it was as if she was possessed by some idea that we were a threat" I sighed and slumped down on a nearby tree. Lizbeth suddenly looked up, eyes wide open. I've known Lizbeth my entire life, we're like sisters, and she's not telling us something.

"Lizbeth; why do you think Fabiola was acting that way?" Ayah and I closed in on her.

"I...I...Fine..." she sighed. "Fabiola told me while we were eating lunch one day that she had joined a secret clang; their called vita potestates vita. It means life powers life in Latin. They believe that a superior kind exists, one with powers still unknown. They also believe that these superiors will come to our world, and the clang will eliminate anyone who is believed to be a threat for when they arrive" Lizbeth said while staring blankly at the floor.

"Okay so you're telling us she became an extremist of this so called "clang" and considered Paige and Brian here a threat; so she was gonna try and kill them?" Lizbeth slowly nodded at Ayah's question. "Okay Paige, I believe you. And I'm just gonna say this for the sake of all of us: wow..."

"Brian you haven't said a single word" I could see I had caught him off guard.

"Yeah umm, I don't really want to talk about it" he passed his hand through his hair uncomfortably, I stared at him expectantly. "You weren't yourself okay? You transformed, you went dark" he said it in a quick mumble. Everyone stared at me with shocked expressions.

"It's true, something came over me. Like I don't know, like my dark side took over" "But it did save us both didn't it, she planned to kill us. And it this case it was kill or be killed" Lizbeth stood u from where she was sitting and sat down next to me.

"I believe you, I don't care what they think. If you say you did it for well, then you did it for well" she looked at me with a sincere smirk.

"Hey, I never said I didn't believe you. It's just... doesn't anyone find it weird that she was able to kill her? I mean, were not supposed to be able to kill. No exceptions" Ayah started pacing a little.

"What now?" I asked.

"Why don't you ask that to mister tuff guy know it all over here, he seems to know what to do when it comes to you. Maybe he'll know what to do now" I stared at Brian expectantly.

"Oh so now I'm an expert on her? What the hell Ayah?! I was just saying my thoughts!" He became worked up with every word.

"You have no right to yell at me!" she raised her hand and an invisible wind pushed Brian harshly against a tree.

"Were fighting now aren't we?" the ground around ayah started wrapping around he, devouring her.

"Hey that's not fair!" the wind around us started to blow violently, a small tornado began approaching him.

"Okay, that's enough!" Lizbeth rose both her hands and rain poured on both off them; suddenly everything went quiet and motionless. Brian and Ayah stared at us startled. "You do realize you are fighting over her right?"

Ayah opened her mouth as if to argue but quickly closed it, Brian on the other hand was quick to argue. "Listen, I'm not saying I don't trust you, it's just that in that precise moment I didn't" he spoke to me directly.

"Then you should quit speaking like that and start thinking on one of those plans you love so much" I said with slight one of sarcasm. I truly did love Brian but in this moment he was pissing me off, if he truly believed me, he shouldn't have said a word.

"What am I supposed to think about? How to escape the punishment of the council? How to not let them find out? How to escape this hell of a place?!"

"Wait that actually might work..." I approached him.

"What might work?" he asked, all the others staring at me with questioning eyes.

"The escaping thing; Lizbeth do you remember that spell they taught us in Mr. Sirap's class?"

"Yeah, the dare nos effugiemus thing. They taught us that last semester, but we need a binding circle for it to work." She said.

A binding circle isn't hard to create, but everyone in it needs to be pure of magic. "Then that's our plan".
