"He what?!" Brian asked in disbelief.

"He took Ayah... Brian please relax" I put my hand on his shoulder for comfort. Shortly after I found Lizbeth, Brian came back and we had to break the news to him. Lizbeth suggested we went outside so we could be able to control him if things got out of hand.

"Don't tell me to relax! That bastard took my friend, he is gonna pay for this!" he said through clenched teeth.

I give up. Its Lizbeth's turn to try and explain.

"Brian listen to me, she's gonna be fine. Relax" although she tried to convince him that Ayah was gonna be okay, I really didn't think she believed that herself.

"If I hadn't blocked that fucking entrance she would be here, safe" he slumped down on a nearby rock and stared at the floor.

Alas the girlfriend has to step in.

I walked towards him and sat down.

"It's gonna be okay, we are going to find her and we are going to kick that guys ass" I gave him my most sincere smile. "We are-"Lizbeth cut me off.

"Do you guys hear that?" she said turning her head.

I turned my head hear a rustling noise in the trees. Before I could even say a word Brian stood up.

"I'm on it, stay here. And get your powers ready"

He approached the trees. "Who's there? Show yourself!"

A tall figure emerged from behind one of the trees with his hands raised in surrender. He was wearing a grey hoodie and some beat up Vans.

"I come in peace" he said. "The name is Anthony"

"Who are you?" Brian asked with his fists clenched to his sides ready to react at the first sign of trouble.

"I'm like you"

We tied the so called Anthony guy. And began flooding him with questions.

"How did you get here?"

"How do you know about us?"

"What is your element?"

"Where do you live?"

He opened his mouth to speak but closed it and bowed down his head. Brian snapped his fingers in front of his face.

"Hey! Buddy look at- "a bolt of lightning appeared out of thin air and struck the tree right behind the guy with a loud bang.

"That's my element. Second, I was there. Third, I saw when you guys appeared. And fourth, my house is just up the coast." He said leaving us all speechless.

"Your element is storm?" I asked trying to get my courage back.

"No, my element is lightning" he said with a smirk.

"That's impossible that element is unheard of!" I said in dismissal.

"There are a lot of things the council has kept hidden from society. For example, those angry guys you fought with when you arrived? Shifters"

"Nonsense! There are only five elements!" I said.

Lizbeth moved from where she was standing and put a hand on my shoulder.

"I believe him" she said to me. "I had read about the council's lies to us before. But I never thought it was actually real" she said slightly laughing.

"Brian, let him go" she told him.

"Lizbeth, are you sure about this?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm sure" she untied the knot that held together both Anthony's hands.

Brian moved directly in front of him and grabbed his shirt.

"If you dare try anything, I swear I will make you choke on dirt till I get bored of it." He growled and let go of the shirt.

This Anthony guy was about 5' 10 and very thin. He had these rich brown eyes, and those lips. Not that I would ever think of him like that! I have a boyfriend who cares very much of me.

"I have a proposition for you" Anthony was sitting next to me. "I would like you join you on your quest to find this kidnapper" he gave me a smile.

"Why are you asking me this?" I said confused.

"Because you seemed the more approachable one" he said. "So? Can I join you guys?"

"Sure..." I surrendered. "We could use the help"
