Stream Starlight bc it's an amazing song!

Taylor went to change into a crop top and leggings since it was the middle of summer.

"Okay, how does this look?" she asked, smoothing a Queen jacket she'd borrowed from Joe over it.

"I love it,"

"Okay, let's go out the window 'cause my parents'll kill me,"

Joe laughed at this and opened the window for her. "After you,"

Taylor giggled and climbed out of the window, followed by Joe, who pulled it shut.

"I borrowed my dad's truck for this," Joe chuckled.

Taylor smiled and climbed in, Joe getting into the driver's seat.

He turned the engine on and started driving, one hand on the steering wheel, the other on Taylor's heart. Well, metaphorically.

He turned the radio on. Taylor hummed as The National played.

"Joe... would you miss me?"

"Of course, I would! I'd miss you every day of my life."

"Will you come back?"

"In six years. After I graduate. And when I do, I'm flying you all the way to London so you'd be there."

Taylor's eyes burned. Oh, God, here come the waterworks.

"Taylor,"

His hand was on her thigh, tracing figures of eights on it.

"I'm sorry. It's not... I just would miss you like crazy."

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I'll miss you like crazy too."

"Do you promise?"

"Yes. I swear on my life."

Taylor smiled as Joe pulled up at the boardwalk.

"Hey, why are we here?" Taylor looked out the window.

"I heard there was a yacht part for rich people here."

"What?"

"Yeah. Come on!" Joe got out of the pickup truck and went to Taylor's side, opening the door and helping her out.

"Joe, don't tell me..."

"Yes!"

He lead her to the yacht where a bouncer stood. "Names?"

Joe linked his hand with Taylor's tightly. "Prince Frederick Watson and Duchess Taylor Alison Swift of... T-the Swift house...?"

"You get to change your name and I don't!?" Taylor hissed.

"Just go with it, you have a beautiful name,"

"I'm afraid you're not on the list," the bouncer said firmly.

Taylor decided to take Joe's advice and "go with it".

"Listen here, mister!" Taylor adapted a British accent as she thought of things to say. "I'm the daughter of Andrea and Scott Swift of England and Wales and they own this yacht of yours. So your career is in my hands!"

The bouncer cleared his throat and let them in with slightly shaking hands.

Taylor shrieked as they got in and they were out of earshot. "I can't believe that worked!"

"You think I do!?"

It was soon after that they realised they were on the dancefloor. Joe bowed slightly and stretched his hand out. "May I have this dance?"

Taylor giggled and nodded.

The rest of the night was spent dancing, drinking non-alcoholic drinks and just laughing and having fun. Taylor had the time of her life.

They sat at the docks after the party closed and finished.

Joe's hand was intertwined with Taylor's and she leaned on his shoulder.

"When we graduate, I'll marry you."

"Is... is that true?"

"Yeah. And we'll have ten kids and we'll teach them how to dream."

"Joe..."

"No, I'm just kidding."

"So you don't want to marry me?"

"I do, I really do. Just not the ten kids part." He laughed softly.

"I love you."

"I love you more."
