Hello nerds and geeks, I'm back again, with another chapter. Now CT7567Rules reached out to me and had some really great suggestions, if you're reading this man, thank you for the ideas, I really appreciate it. Now I'm gonna jump ahead in the story by a couple of months because even though Thomas already has some combat experience, albeit not much, and has learned Tang Soo Do, he's gonna go through a lot of training before he becomes a soldier. With that out of the way, same disclaimers apply, and let's get started.

Chapter 6: Boot Camp

Military time: 1500 hours

Thomas' POV

One month later

If you told me six months ago that I would be in space training in a galactic military to fight a civil war, I would have thought you were high off your ass. Now I'm on Kamino under the apprenticeship of Kal Skirata, a Mandalorian training sergeant hired by Jango Fett, the donor for the clone army, to train a unit of black-ops commandos known as the Null-Class Arc Troopers. Kal was a strict man but had a heart of gold. While the Kaminoans saw the clones as "property", Kal saw them almost like his children.

My training with Kal wasn't as intensive as his training with the Nulls, but that didn't mean he took it easy on me. There were many days I would end up with black eyes, bloody noses, and other minor injuries. He reminded me a lot of my grandfather, the tough love and skills he taught me, and the soft side he shown every once in a while. Needless to say, that he was a great teacher, but that didn't mean there was stuff I couldn't teach the Mandalorian merc. I told him a lot about my world's weapons and like others, he was surprised at the fact that I still used bullets instead of lasers. I shown him my .45 and he was impressed by the craftsman ship of the handgun. I told him I had other designs of such weapons saved on my phone I surprisingly still had, and well, he wanted to see what these weapons were made of.

So on top of my physical training that Kal put me through, we were trying to replicate the gunpowder used in my bullets since the slug-thrower explosive used wasn't as strong as it needed it to be. Thankfully, the Kaminoans were impressed by my knowledge of chemistry and offered to help me with such task. After many failed attempts, we were able to figure out a formula for the replacement of gunpowder for the bullets. With the new formula, we were able to create some of the weapons from earth that I particularly favored. One of them was the 10-Gauge shotgun. A favorite of mine whenever I would go duck-hunting with my uncle and cousins. When I finished my version of the weapon, a double-barreled pump action monster with better gripping and higher shell capacity, I got to test it out on a training droid, and let's just say that the droid is resting in pieces. Kal was shocked at such power of a weapon, especially considering it was a slug thrower. Even Anakin, Rex, and Ahsoka were shocked by the video footage of me using such a powerful weapon and obliterating a battle droid.

The other weapon I decided to create was an Armalite rifle called the Remington R5 GCP. I decided to increase the capacity from 30 rounds to about 60 rounds using a new rotating magazine. The rounds are armor piercing made from a metal with the strength of synthetic tungsten that I created using nuclear fusion, thanks to the help with some Kaminoan scientists. The rounds were able to turn 6 super battle droids into Swiss cheese. I was able to use the tungsten along with the gunpowder to restock the rounds for my .45. Needless to say, Kal was impressed by my skills as a marksman and engineer as well as my knowledge of chemistry. Armed with my new toys, I was blowing through simulations like a summer breeze in July. Little did I know, the final test was going the hardest one yet.
