Alrighty, another update on Thomas' and now Myles' story. Here we dive deeper into Myles' backstory which brought him to the Galaxy. Now this was a little difficult to write because I didn't wanna make it like someone else's story. But anyway, here you go. Myles' backstory.

Myles' POV

My team and I have just got finished apprehending Azfaar Al-Hazred, the son of Asim Al-Hazred. We got back to process him and celebrate this victory. While I was changing out of my gear, one of my teammates told me my Pop and Gram wanted to talk to me. Willing to bet that they just wanna check up on me.

I make my way to the communications room and video called my grandparents. I get on the call and I can see that they look like they been crying for a while.

"Hey Gram," I say, "What's up?"

"Myles," my pop started before he sighed, "We got some terrible news. It's about Tommy."

Hearing "terrible" and my cousin's name in the same sentence made my heart drop. I just pray to God I don't think what I think it is.

"Wh-What is it?" I say, "Is he hurt?"

Gram just all of a sudden broke down into tears. Just hearing her cry like this confirmed it.

"Worse," Pop said, with his voice breaking, "He's been murdered."

I just stared in shock. Tommy? The cousin I loved like a brother, is dead?

"No," I say in denial, "No, this can't be. This has to be some sick joke."

"They found his Silverado, burned to a crisp," Pop says, "Officers said that there was nothing but burnt metal and ashes left."

My eyes just water. And then I couldn't hold it anymore and just broke down. I still couldn't believe it. Thomas, was just gone like that, and I didn't even get to say goodbye. I heard Pop start crying over the call as well, the first time I ever heard him cry ever since we lost Cassie.

God, this felt like a bad dream. It had to be. But when I saw the news headline, it wasn't. It was a living nightmare.

Normal POV

Captain Myles Sullivan has been a changed man ever since finding out his cousin, Thomas Sullivan, was murdered by drug dealers and a Neo Nazi Terrorist group. This has caused the captain to develop more of a short fuse. Sometimes during missions, he would go too far in interrogating prisoners. Some of his methods included breaking fingers, noses, arms, and kneecaps.

His teammates tried to get him to talk to someone about it but he refused multiple times, and almost blowing up every time. His temper was getting out of control, to the point he almost got into a fight with a trusted friend over something small.

While his teammates understood that he was going through tough times since he lost his cousin, they're worried about the rift it's causing between them. Their captain is now the shell of a man they once knew. He used to be the most kind hearted man who always had their backs. He never left any of his man behind, and if they got captured, the captors would learn to regret their decision because Myles would bring the wrath of God down upon them.

Myles' commanding officers have thought about throwing him out but decided against that due to how skilled the captain was. However, they were still considering the option because of his temper.
