Robert sat up with a jerk, his heart was racing. He looked at Arhana who didn't wake up by his sudden action fortunately and lied down again. He had to meet this person who made him feel emotions he never felt earlier and now decided to take away his sleep also? He was scared of him for some unknown reason, maybe just how intimidating he seemed to be, but it wasn't just fear that he felt on thinking about Daniel, that fear was very less compared to this unknown feeling. Or maybe it wasn't unknown, just something he didn't want to accept.
On the other side, Jai reached home before 4 according to Daniel's instructions. Not knowing what to say about where he was, he opted for the easiest option, silence. His family didn't fail to notice the change in his behaviour, even tried talking about it to him, but to no avail.
Avu: Bhai
Jai: Avu, tu yaha? Aa, baith. Avu, you here? Come, sit.
She sat beside him, he was writing something. When she didn't speak anything he closed his book and looked at her.
Jai: Kuch hua hai? Is something wrong?
Avu: Nahi. No.
He felt her hold his hand, running her thumb over the back of it, a habit she has when there's something she wants to say but is not able to. She herself is unaware of this habit of hers. He made her face him.
Jai: Kya baat hai? What is it?
Avu: Bhai, aap kisi khatre mein to nahi hai na? Mai jaanti hu aap nahi batana chahte ki udhar kya hua tha, mai puchna bhi nahi chahti, lekin mujhe dar uske asar ka hai jo bhavishya mein aapki life par padega, hum sabki life par. Bhai, you are not in any danger right? I know you don't want to say what happened there, I don't want to ask also, but I am worried about it's impact on your life in future, all of our lives.
He smiled.
Jai: Mai kisi khatre mein nahi hu. Jo hona tha ho gaya aur ab khatam ho chuka hai. I am not in any danger. Whatever had to happen happened and has ended now.
Avu: Agar khatam ho chuka hai aap kisise theek se baat kyu nahi kar rahe? If it has ended why are you not talking to anyone properly?
Jai: Mujhe mummy papa ka dar hai ki woh phir sawaal jawaab chalu kar denge. Unka yeh sab poochna, pareshaan hona svabhavik hai lekin mere paas koyi jawaab nahi hai. Ab toh aisa ho gaya hai jaise mujhe dekhte hai sach bulvaane ki koshish karte hai. I am scared of mummy papa questioning me again. It is obvious for them to ask me, get worried, but I have no answer. It's like the moment they see me they try making me speak about what happened there.
Avu: Mai unse baat karungi, aap humse baat na karne ki koshish karna band karo. Is baare mein dobara baat nahi hogi, lekin uske liye pehle aapko us baat ko bhulana hoga warna koyi fayda nahi hai. I'll talk to them, you stop avoiding talking to us. It won't be mentioned again, but for that you have to forget it first otherwise there's no use.
