Robert and Reem were sitting at the beach, Robert would take her out of the home 4 days in a week, going to different places. They weren't friends yet, for Robert it was just his work and Reem saw him as a teacher, who taught her way more than what everyone learned in school. In this one month she had learned a lot and could easily read and write now.
Reem: Mujhe is phone ka koyi use nahi dikhta kisiko call karne ke alawa, aapko kewal uske liye hi use karte hue dekha hai. Lekin yaha zyada tar log phone par hai. I don't see any use of this phone other than calling someone, that's the only thing I have seen you use it for. But almost everyone here is on their phone.
Robert: Waha dekh. Look there.
There was a group of friends who were clicking photos of each other and making silly faces.
Robert: Hum isme kayi yaadein kaid kar sakte hai. Aise kayi apps hai jaha hum padh sakte hai, kuch likh sakte hai, games khel sakte hai, news, movies aur sab dekh ya padh sakte hai. Phir social media hai jaha hum kisise bhi chat kar sakte hai, dusro ke daale gaye photos aur videos dekh sakte hai, khud bhi daal sakte hai. Aur hum isse dost bana sakte hai. We can keep many memories in it. There are many apps where you can read, write, play games, read or see news, movies and much more. Then there is social media where we can chat with other, watch videos and photos others post or post our own photos and videos. And we can make friends through it.
Reem: Aapke dost hai? You have friends?
Robert: Nahi. No.
Reem: Par aapke paas phone hai na? But you have phone right?
Robert: Phone hone ka matlab yeh nahi ki dost hoge hi. Yeh toh bas ek tareeka hai dost banane ka. Having phone doesn't mean having friends. It's just one of the ways of befriending people.
Reem: Ok.
Robert's eyes fell on a couple and remembered Daniel.
Robert (in mind): Kya woh aage badh chuka hoga mujhe bhula kar? Kaash woh aisa kar chuka ho. Mai uske muskuraane ki wajah toh nahi ban sakta, par mai uske na muskurane ki wajah nahi banna chahta. Would he have moved on? I really hope he has. I can't be the reason behind him smiling, but I don't want to be the reason behind him not smiling either.
He came out of his thoughts hearing Reem asking another question. Over time he had realized how much she loved asking questions, she is a very curious person.
At Daniel's hostel,
Randeep, Bhavesh and Daniel were in Daniel's room. Daniel was lost in his thoughts while looking at some paper in his hand.
Bhav: Mai apne kamre mein ja raha hu, bahut late ho chuka hai. I'm going to my room, it's very late.
