Chapter 34

Salem's POV
Luis had a confused expression on his face as I waited for him to make a decision. He said he didn't know but he looks like he wants to say something else. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. "Why is it soo quiet in here?" My mom asked. She had a smile on her face as she walked over to sit by Luis. "Well um Salem wants to know whether I'm going to move in with you guys or if you guys are moving in with me" Luis said. My mom looked at me. She had a smile on her face that made me smile. "Well I don't think we should be moving in soo soon" my mom said. That obviously hurt Luis's feelings. I saw his facial expression change.

He looked a little sad.

"Well you guys could come stay at my house whenever you want. I'm gonna get going" Luis said. I could hear the sadness in his voice. I could tell my mom heard it too because she got up quickly and followed Luis outside. "Shit" I mumbled. "Um so that's your real dad... right?" Richie asked a little confused. I nodded. I heard Richie start laughing. "What are you laughing about?" I asked. He stopped laughing and said "because you said you didn't know he was your real dad when you guys are both Asian" "I didn't know I was Asian" I said. That made Richie laugh even harder. He is soo ridiculous.

Luis's POV
I got inside of my car and just broke down into tears. I can't go any longer without being there for Salem. I heard the passenger down open. "Honey look at me" Allison said softly. I wiped my eyes and looked at her. "Are you mad at me?" She asked. "No honey I would never be mad at you. I just- I want to be here for Salem. I missed out on his entire life. I just-" I didn't finished my words. Instead Allison brought me into a hug and said "I know. Maybe we can stay every few days just so everyone can get used to each other" "yea. My kids all love Salem. And Autumn wants you to be her mom" I said.

I saw Allison's face turn into a smile. I missed her smile soo much. "Salem told me that you kept a picture of me" she said. "I still have it" I said pulling my wallet out and showing her the picture. It was a picture of both of us when we first started dating. "I remember that day. You took me to the carnival. And we shared that big cotton candy" she said giggling. I let out a chuckle and looked at her beautiful eyes. I leaned over and gave her a kiss. "I love you" I said seriously. She smiled and said "I love you too" "let's go see what Salem and Richie are up to" I said and got out of the car.

Salem's POV
Luis ended up staying at the house. Which I was kind of happy about. I actually like spending time with him. Richie was still here but he's been on the phone with Xavier. He loves that boy soo much. "Hey Salem wanna come to my house with me and your mom? Richie can come if he wants" Luis said walking over to us. I looked towards Richie. "Fine with me. Xavier is hanging with his moms so I have time to spare" Richie said putting his phone in his pocket. "Alright great um be ready in about 30 minutes" Luis said excitedly. Aww.

Time skip~

I was at Luis's house. All of his kids were home from school. Except Autumn. "Salem!" I heard Autumn scream. Speak of the devil. "Autumn!" I screamed back to her. She was just getting back from school. I ran over to her and picked her up. I hugged her tightly and spun around. "I'm gonna get dizzy!" She said laughing. I chuckled at that. I stopped spinning and put her down. "Oh my god she is adorable" I heard Richie say walking up to us. Autumn hid behind me. "Autumn it's ok. This is my friend Richie. He's nice" I said. I didn't want another person in my family be scared of Richie.

I watched and Richie bent down to Autumns level. "Hi I'm sorry if I scared you. I know I'm really tall but I promise I won't be mean" Richie said softly. It was soo cute. Autumn looked at him softly and asked "can I touch those spiky things on your jacket?" "Um sure. Their not sharp" Richie said. He had a leather jacket with spikes on it so I can see why Autumn may have been scared of him at first. "Is he less scary now?" I asked. Autumn let out a giggle as she touched Richie's jacket. She was playing with all the pins and spikes on it. It was soo cute watching them bond.

Richie's POV
I was sitting on the ground with Autumn. She was looking at all of the stuff on my jacket. I always feel self conscious when I'm meeting kids. I've scared many kids because of how I look. I scared my own kid once. I haven't told Salem about my son because I'm scared to. But now he has a son so it shouldn't be that bad. I think. "Richie someone's calling you" I heard Salem say. My phone was on the coffee table. "Give me a second Autumn. I'll be back" I said ruffling her hair. She let out a giggle and I walked over to the coffee table. It was my mom.

Oh shit.

I answered the phone and walked out of the room. "Hey mama" I said innocently. "Where are you?! Ray has been waiting for you!" She screamed through the phone. Oh shit. I forgot I was supposed to bring him home today. "Um Ronnie couldn't drive him?" I asked nervously. "Ronnie was at the dentist. Now I don't know where Ray is! I need you to call him because he'll answer your calls" my mom said. I could hear how sad she was. "Ok" I said back. I said my goodbyes to my mom and instantly called Ray. Thankfully he picked up.

"Hello?" I heard him say softly. I could tell he was a little off. "Ray I'm soo sorry about leaving you at school. Mom wants to know where you are" I said frantically. "I went to Michael's house because we had nowhere else to go" he said. I quickly texted my mom where he was and took the phone off of speaker. "Ok mom is gonna pick you up. I'm soo sorry" I said. "It's fine. Um bye" he said. I said goodbye and went back into the living room. "Hey Salem I'm gonna get going. My mom is just a tad bit angry" I said. Salem nodded and said "that's fine. I'll see you at school tomorrow" "alright" I said. I told Salem and Autumn goodbye and I was on my way home.
