I got the feelin' I might have lit the very fuse
That you were tryin' not to light
_"Do you like it?" I asked, cleaning up the area as I briefly look at the girl who checked out her new tattoo.
A smile on her face as she nods "You never do me wrong" She turns and sits down on the chair again "But you do when you constantly turn down going out with me for drinks"
I chuckle lowly "I don't date clients, especially someone who comes as frequently as you"
Her finger glides up my arm as I sit on the chair in front of her "Then let's not date" She leans in but before her lips could touch mine the sound of the door chime pull her away and I stand up.
"Time for you to go" I walk out of the room and she follows me. I notice Chan speaking with Hyunjin by the counter.
"Jisung, my man," Chan says and his eyes go toward the girl behind me. "Whose this?"
She smiles "I'm Bec"
"Bec was leaving" I look at her "Good night" her smile drops and she walks away and out of the shop.
"She looks disappointed, did you fuck up her tattoo?" Chan says.
I scoff and lean onto the counter "You know I never fuck up" My eyes shift to the male that stood beside Chan who I only now noticed. Swallowing harshly as I notice who he was. None other than my Professor.
His eyes lift off his phone as he was previously texting someone, seemingly important as he was focused. His eyes were now on me and I wasn't sure if he knew who I was or if I was completely unfamiliar to him.
"Nah, she just wants to get him in bed," Hyunjin says with a chuckle and Chan's eyes widen.
"Oh, I read the room wrong then" I look down at my schedule sheet and crossed off her name. "I was wondering if you have time for another?" I look up to Chan again.
"She was my last for the night, I should get home" I look to Hyunjin "He's free though"
Hyunjin sighs and stands up from his chair "Yep, free and neither drunk nor high" I roll my eyes.
They walk to Hyunjin's booth and before they enter Chan turns and says "You should stay and we can grab a drink after"
"Aren't you already drunk?"
Chan laughs "If I'm here getting another tattoo, you know I am" I laugh and my eyes go to Mr. Lee whose eyes are once again on his phone. Who was so important that he spent this whole time giving his attention to them?
"Chan, hurry your ass up"
"It will be worth it" Chan tries to persuade me.
"He has a class in the morning" I freeze and my eyes slowly go to my professor and he looks at me, making me swallow harshly. "Don't you?"
"And how do you know that?" Chan asks but we both ignore him.
Chills ran down my spine as it was the first time he has talked to me directly and I felt as if he knew all the thoughts that roamed my head.
His looks were almost daring and it brought a thrill inside me. I smile at him and look at Chan "Actually, I can use drink" I walk up to Chan who cheers and throws his arm over my shoulder.
"Hyunjin you are coming along as well, since your sober and that's no fun"
Hyunjin nods as he gets his supplies ready. Hyunjin wasn't a heavy drinker but he definitely knew how to have fun. "Yeah, Yeah, as long as you don't have me tattooing some bullshit on you by the end of the night and wake up regretting it"
Chan sits on the chair and scoffs "That never happened"
I look at Hyunjin who looks at me, both holding in our laughs. "Did this happen?" I heard Minho ask and I suddenly got brought back to reality.
I sit in the chair beside him but I tried not to act like his presence wasn't affecting me. He was nobody but my professor. My extremely hot professor at that.
"It did" I look at him, "He was wasted"
"Was not"
Minho nods "Aren't you both friends, shouldn't you know this?" I ask.
"My friend was taken from me by a blonde three years ago" I look to Chan, confused "His girlfriend June "
My mouth opened in realization. Nodding slowly as I now knew who his attention was on all night, texting up a storm with his girlfriend who was probably either worried sick or arguing about how he was out at such a time.
"Oh," I said, looking toward the male who was already looking at me. "June, cute name"
I look to Chan who took up a discussion with Hyunjin on what he wanted. Chan always showed up on random nights to get tattoos, sometimes large, sometimes small.
"You should go home" I look at him.
"Why's that?" I question.
"There's class tomorrow and I hate when people come late"
I bite the inside of my cheek and look away "Guess I'll just skip.
I heard his low chuckle and I forced myself to not look at him "You're playing a dangerous game"
I finally look at him and his eyes pierced into mine, "Am I?" I ask, pushing him further "I'm not much of a game person"
His jaw clenched and I knew I was pissing him off. I could tell now from the small time I've spent with him, he liked things his way. That's probably what June did. Gave him what he wanted, and did things he said. Or maybe not by the way he constantly ignored her calls throughout the time at the shop.
She was persistent, continued to call and text and he was here. Having a conversation like his girlfriend wasn't at home freaking out. He joked here and there but his attitude with me continued.
I only see that as a challenge. One I refuse to lose.
