MK's POV:
Friday, After School
Me and Lucina were hanging out in front of the school waiting for our friends. "So MK I want you to take notes on this." Lucina told me. I took out my notebook and pencil and I was prepared to write whatever she was going to say. "There are things I like like naps, hanging out with friends or family, my bearded dragon Grima, going to the park, milk chocolate candy, ...you," she coughs and I looked at her in confusion. "It's nothing! Caught some dust, that was all. As I was saying, I also like going to the lake to swim with friends, going to the movie theater, the mall, oh and I love bluebird flowers!" I finished writing all of that down into the notebook.
"Got all of that?" She asked and I nodded, "Okay now for the things I hate. Touching insects or bugs, being left alone, sudden loud noises, the dark, Rob, and-" Lucina over here!" We looked at Morgan, Roy, Ren, and Sora approaching us. Lucina sighs and said, "being interrupted. So I'm assuming you'll be heading straight home right?" I nodded in response. "Will you text me later on tonight?" I nodded again and she smiles. "Perfect! Just message me when you want to MK!" I smiled and waved her goodbye as I went to get Kirby from elementary school and both Ren and Roy walked with me.
Lucina's POV:
Morgan and Sora approach to me. "Lucina what are we going to do?" Morgan asked me and I just stared at the direction MK left, "I don't know really. Maybe we can go get ice cream. Sora can you message everyone that we're getting ice cream later." "On it!" He begins typing and I looked at Morgan, "And I want you to message mom and dad that we'll come home later okay?" "Yes Lucina!"
I stretched both my arms and legs, "We'll wait for them to arrive here so we can go!" It was nice until I heard his voice. "Hello Lucina." I turned to see Rob standing there. I groaned in annoyance, "What do you want Rob?" I slowly moved both Morgan and Sora behind me. "There is no reason to get defensive about it now Lucina. I have no intentions on trying to challenge the three of you into a fight against me."
"Then why are you here?"
"I simply want to ask you a question."
"A question huh? Go ahead, ask me the question."
"I was hoping you'll say that. Because I am wondering if you would go out with me to the homecoming dance next month."
"Homecoming? You want me to go out with you to the homecoming dance?"
"Yes!"
"Well I got to think about that. I mean I do like going to parties, especially with friends and having a date to homecoming would feel nice and all I got to say is- The answer is no Retrotech!" I turned my back against him. I can hear him stuttering, "N-NO?" "Yeah, you heard me say it correctly. N. O. No!"
"BUT- BUT WHY NOT?" He asked me. "It's simple, you're a egomaniac only seeking to be the center of attention. You don't even care about everyone around you! And I've seen your mistreatment to MK! MK on the other hand may be quite but has more manners and he's a gentleman unlike you!" I snapped at him and he growls. "I AM LEAGUES BETTER THAN THAT SILENT LONER! HE HAS NO GOOD QUALITIES!" I turned to look at him in anger, "What did you just say about MK?" I snarled at him.
"That little rodent doesn't even talk, show much emotions, hell, I don't even think he's a living sentient being. Just a machine with no thoughts." My hands formed into fists.
"Not to mention that he's also extremely weak compared to everyone else! I bet you that he can't even win a fight against a elementary school kid in a 1v1 fight!" My blood is reaching to a boiling point.
"He doesn't deserve any friends or admirers! And the only person that actually cares about his existence is that weirdo Susie Haltmann! And that says a lot!" Oh that's it! I made a left hook at his jaw and drop kicked him to the ground. "AAAHH!" He screamed from the total shock. I put my foot on top of his chest and applied pressure, "I dare you to say that about MK again!" He's struggling to move my foot off of him. "N-never!" I moved my foot off of him and kicked him in the ribs. "GAUHHH!" He begins to crawl away. "And don't you dare talk bad about MK ever!"
I turn to see both Sora and Morgan having shocked expressions. "Lucina I..." Morgan couldn't find the words he's trying to say. "We never knew you had that in you." Sora was in disbelief. "Just going by my words, 'Protecting those that can't protect themselves.' And hopefully Retrotech learns that." Cloud, Link, Zelda, and Pythra arrived.
"Yeesh! What happened to the gray hair guy here?" Link asked. "Just had to show him a lesson about bullying other students. Right?" I stare at him, still crawling away from me. "Y-yeah!" Zelda looked at him. "Wow, I never seen him acting this cowardly before!" "And he's a well known coward!" Cloud commented. "Ironic isn't? The egomaniac who claims he's brave and bold is actually a coward!" Pythra says.
"Anyways we're leaving to get ice cream right?" Cloud asks and I nodded. "Yep! Let's go guys!" I cheered. Before we all left, "Wait Lucina! I need to do something." Pythra said as she opened a new bottle of water. And moves to the crawling Rob. "Someone is going to need a bottle of water while they're on the summer concrete." 'True' Pythra appears, "Too bad it's all spilled on the floor! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" She laughs as she spills the water on him and drops the empty bottle next to him. 'Mythra' appears, "AND GET OUT OF OUR SIGHTS YOU WEASEL!" He got up to his feet and ran.
We all walked away from the high school and too the ice cream shop.
MK's POV:
Me, Kirby, Roy, and Ren were all walking back to the orphanage. We're all eating sandwiches as we walked down the street. It was nice and quiet until I heard her voice. "MK!" Nova why me. Susie rushed up to me but she did something that I would have never expected from her. "STAY AWAY FROM MK HALTMANN!" Roy yelled and she stopped five feet away from me.
Yeah, she stopped five feet away from me.
"WAIT! I don't mean to scare him like the other day. And this time I'm keeping distance from him!" Susie even backed up another two feet away. "I just want to ask MK a question, no more that the conversation that follows, okay?" She says and I see Roy and Ren looking at each other. "Should we give her a chance?" Ren asks Roy. "For now." They nodded and looked at her. "Make it quick!"
Susie took a deep breath and started calmly, "MK, the homecoming dance is next month and I'm wondering if you would like go on a date with me for homecoming. Maybe even give me a chance. I want to try to fix my wrong doings." I just stare at her in disbelief. Why is she acting so nice all of the sudden?
I took out paper and a pencil and wrote my response. After a while I handed it to her and she reads it, "I don't know. I may need time to think and collect my thoughts about this." She looks at me, "That's... okay. Just take your time. No rush." I nodded and we all walked away.
"Did MK actually responded to Susie without being mad?" Kirby asks and I hear Ren say something, "Yeah and normally he would try to hit her. Maybe she's finally learning her lesson." "I'm not sure about that." Roy comments as we all continued the walk to the orphanage.
Why do I have a feeling something isn't right?
